Whatever, fuck them
there is nothing better
jump de shaw 5r wont interview bc of school/no firm, hrt not enough cpp exp to pass, jane street even if i do apply and get phone i wont pass bc not enough exp and difficulty
Don't you have Meta and Rippling? How is that not enough exp?
not enough cpp experience
fb was bitchwork rust rippling is bitchwork js
5r interviews ppl with MIT or USAMO or some CMU
For JS I mean
@sick charm hows 5r process
got 2nd phone
i cant do hards from scratch yet
trapping rain water?
I feel like ur overthinking it here. If u got meta and rippling I think that's enough LC to get you through JS. Even if not, a few weeks practice should get you there
JS isnt like LC according to people who i know that did it
and only a person knows what level theyre at
js is literally lc
I just don't see a reason not to apply, rejecting urself essentially lol
How long tho? 6 month?
perma
what?
or until your resume is legit enough
current intern told me they dont blacklist
Lol that's just dumb, either way I don't think Dracos will miserably fail
whats your source, or are you interning at js
hr propaganda
Im sure current interns will know abt this type of stuff better than most
ive just heard ppl getting rejected at final then enever getting past resume screen again
im sure if you utterly shit the interview theyll have reservations
which is what you said above yea mb
will any "tech" company?
this is true
I'm about to see this from akuna next year
meta bar has gone to shit as u can see
rippling was just lucky with 1 lc problem + 1 i love fullstack development and fullstack sweatshop itnerview
lot of everything is "luck" tbh even quant
hey dude, I am sorry about IMC, a friend mine got screwed the same way last year
IMC has a pretty rng pass bar at most stages
yes
not sure what could have gone better aside from me overexplaining the 1st q and recruiter said to keep it on point
they were asking me so many things abt meta what i liked abt it and what i didnt like abt it and shit
It’s with a recruiter? Thought it was with manager
Renege them with what?
behavioral was just tricky in that sense since i needed to make sure everything i liked abt meta was applicable at imc and everything i disliked at meta was also applicable at imc
He never said he had other offers
i told the recruiter in the 1st hr call that metas freeze affected me
why didnt u say u had meta offer
I’m surprised that it’s so tricky, feel like it’s easy to mess up then
they knew abt the freeze
this is the same ghing happening at pltr behavioral
for why did u take rippling
shouldve said you were GE
Some interns did get return though
I think he’s talking about return intern offers
Those aren’t out
Hmmmm that’s interesting
Hard behaviorals suck
@scenic goblet and it was with a manager? Maybe the manager didn’t want you?
Or general hire with a recruiter
was some swe who worked for 5 years + recruiter both asking me qs
Oh it’s two ppl in the call, gotcha
no all behavioral
idk what else they want i had a 2 page doc of imc behaviorals and culture shit
that i read front and back before going in
how high can the behavioral bar be when they're interviewing sweaty cs majors
The top CS majors are both chads and not sweaty
Yeah ig when you’re good enough
They don’t care that you can’t talk
ive passed these types before idk why imc didnt work out in my favor
"favour"
maybe i somehow messed up on whats good abt fb/fb culture/whats bad abt fb and trying to answer everything to imcs benefit but i made sure i connected everything to imc
thats literally what the fuck i said for fb
oh you did li final alr?
yea
summer?
winter
nice
recruiter said ill hear back early next week
fb takes lots of time to develop software imc products are internal aka in house which means faster dev cycles and no silos which means more time and opportunity to create impactful rpoducts
tagged?

gl
linkedin wasn't tagged
it was standard lc problems
linkedin tagged is all meds and hards
true
but the questions i got were easier meds
aren't a lot of quant firms siloed
at least to some degree
not imc i checked literally everything on their culture page
but like between desks and shit it's probably siloed right
idk too much abt that stuff
cit interviewer said it's kinda siloed between groups
i just know that engineers collab w/ traders a decent amt of time, and similar engineering teams collaborate w each other
i see
i think its more collaborative at smaller places
like belvedere or smth
imc specifically said no silos on cutlure apge
i think apple is true definition of silo
How was technical final?
Noob question: where do you find company tagged coding questions.
