The essay-style questions took over 4 hours to complete and after completing their 'next-step' a 'spacial reasoning' exam that primarily involved child-like memory games and the mental rotation of 2-D shapes, I was rejected due to my lack of open-source contributions. I state this not to place any companies in the proverbial 'hot seat,' however, to bring awareness to the fact that many archaic interview processes are in fact not worth your time at all.

This is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg, I have interviewed with companies that have asked me to take examinations similar to that of the 'Scholastic Assessment Tests' in the United States. Questions I have no doubt a C-suite member of the respective company would struggle to answer.

I was also taken aback by the disorganized queries posed to candidates in some of the OA's I have received recently. In particular, when I took the TikTok OA there was a question with an incorrectly listed test-case, which, if you hadn't seen a resembling problem before, would have meant the end of your progress at the application level.
