Yesterday, I received a rejection email for the SDE Internship (Summer 2023). For context, I applied in late September, waitlisted in early November, and rejected yesterday (January 10th). I was able to speak with my recruiter this morning and they shared some details that some of you may find useful:
• The 2023 planning process has been finalized but there won't be an official announcement with the full details for now.
• Applicants who qualified for the Amazon Propel Program (which I believe is their diversity recruitment program) will remain on the waitlist.
• Applicants who received "strong advocation" from their interviewers will remain on the waitlist.
• This isn't similar to the New Grads situation where people were rejected, but internally still marked as waitlisted. If you were rejected then it's final.
Anyways, best of luck to anyone still on the waitlist, it's a tough scene out here.
