oh yeah that's the other thing for decomp, ask the interviewer if you're stuck but DON'T rely on them / ask broad questions

don't just say "I'm stuck, what do I talk about next?" etc.

explain why you're stuck and what you're stuck on and they will be happy to help

and in that case, you just need to find a way to verbalize this. There is 100% a way to explain code, and its a super highly-valued skill because its what makes teamwork on code possible

like even your deadend routes, I just start talking about what the possible routes I would take for a problem are and why im thinking it

I recently interviewed for an AWS role where one of the interviewers was an L8 (HM) in a well known AWS org. We started the interview with introductions and during his introduction he said something to the effect of - “Indians do not speak real English. What they speak is something different”. I am an Indian residing in the US for the last 20 years. I was shocked by this statement.
