For HS, AOs are the first gatekeepers and the main thing they are thinking abt is ur impact factor differentiate among top candidates. So u need abt above a 3.9 UW gpa, strong AP scores as a baseline and then sth to showcase ur impact factor.
For college, companies are a lot more meritocratic, esp in tech. They take anyone who can showcase they have the releveant skillset on their resume. You need to be able to pass data struct/algo interviews to get good job. The main rule of the game is internship clout.
Once u get good job, u can either try climbing, but imo it gets kinda boring. Prolly just chill out or go to a stratup after a bit
