I feel front end is “easier” in the sense that everything you do is very intuitive. For example any change you make in the front end you can see in front of your eyes as a ui feature/performance improvement. And you don’t need any technical knowledge to observe this

Whereas backend you’re serving front end engineers/client in the form of APIs and interacting with a database which is more to learn for someone without technical knowledge

That’s what I mean by lower barrier to entry

U don’t need as much knowledge to start learning front end because you see ur work right in front of your eyes as a webpage or ui/ux

Frontend is def not just ui. It's clientside engineering. Meaning it involves everything the client does. Complex state management, optimally querying apis, implementation of ui/ux, being lightweight, etc.

Given you are a normal user, you can use hardware from 3 years ago and still have no affect in your life if you play high end games. If you dont play high end games, you can just get a 5600G and get a pc for less than $1100, including everything. I dont like spending money on tech, given I just play csgo. But if u play modern games, you would obv not be playing them (or should not be playing them) at 4k ultra settings, max u should do is 2k high and any rtx 3070 would give you over 60 fps on that
