You got no relevant exp, no tutoring/ta exp and no publications/research work but you got a good gpa plus nice ass projects. No one can really say...it doesn't hurt to just apply and see what happens. You definitely need a solid resume and being at a top school doesn't hurt. Amazon internship is good for sure but not a guarantee you'll get through

Resume processes are a black box, you don't really know what's gonna happen to your resume. My best guess is that they place discrete or numerical restrictions first. GPA, number of months in exp section, projects, how close your skills/languages are to the role, buzzwords etc. Essentially, an ATS system. Saying "Amazon" as your experience probably helps to some degree but ATS scores are often weighted in some way

I have a 70% response rate, which is really good all things considered. Biggest advice is to focus on basics and not pidgeon-hole focus on particular section

Everything needs to include the right amount of information, numerics and buzzwords

It also needs to be human readable and factual, since you'd have a human eventually read your resume down the line too

you just need to make sure you understand the basics completely and do enough practice, its probably not a satisfying answer but you can think of it like how you learn how to do multiplication and even now you can probably do 1974 * 274, you dont know the answer right off the top of your head but you understand the problem and know how to solve it based on practice and understanding of the basics

most of the time problems for the same topic are similar enough where if you practice enough, you’ll be able to pick up the pattern and retain it in your head
