I don't pay attention to "entry level" it's often inaccurately tagged, I skim through the description and it's easy to tell which jobs are actually entry / new grad

I think you'll have better luck applying to jobs tagged as NG vs Entry level, because experience professionals are also targeting entry level (people who have been laid off or people switching careers) they would usually require like 1-2 YOE and employers might favour more experienced professionals. I've also seen NG roles have less requirements/ expectations from candidates

It's kind of annoying because companies outside of the major ones like Lockheed Martin and stuff don't actively recruit or advertise positions. Some companies only have positions on their websites, which can be hard to find. I applied to a relatively small company located in my town. I onky knew about it because some of my peers interned there when I was in college. The nice thing about these jobs requiring some digging to find is that you don't have to compete against as many applicants. My advice is to find a website that lists government contract money awarded to companies in your state. I think they are legally required to post the information publically somewhere, but it probably depends on the state. Then, you can look at which companies got big contracts and apply to any positions you find on their websites.

Yes. There are bunch of these small/mid companies and the companies in the traditional industry that have the new grad/ rotational programs for new grad students (I've noticed most of them are only eligible for undergrad). So during the interview, they mainly ask about your projects, experiences, and throw in some typical behavioral questions. The pay isn't high though, like if you're in Texas usually around 60k-70k/year. But here's the kicker, they don't sponsor visas, and I'm not sure about how many people are able to get the return offer after these 1-2 year new grad programs.

It is really a complex issue. There is the problem of brain drain (your home country can't improve if the USA and other countries pouch all the talented people), universities using internationl students as a cash cows, and undercutting domestic workers. But, on the other side of the coin, international students are often wanting to stay in the USA and other countries because it will give them a better life than if they go back.

Something I will note is you missing the impact on the home country. Massive brain drain harms the home country (home country as the international student's home country) if they never go back or don't have any relationships with said home country. However, again, my point was more to bring up points for both sides, rather than take a side. If I had it my way, everyone here regardless of citizenship would be employed.
