I have heard from past interns among other companies that they significantly altered the interview to discuss performace and results of past internships because it gave them a better metric to determine fit than hiring outsiders

I looked up the postings available on my campus's career fair, and all of the open positions were either spring coops or senior roles. So I decided to ditch the event

Apparently some of the big tech companies that hire swe students decided not to show up

and also no SWE positions available

I've only attended online career fairs

But what helped me

Was talking to the employees about random stuff during the career fair

And then reaching out later about following up with the process

I applied to their lever site, and I get an email asking me to complete a whole new application

makes no sense
