It was overwhelming but i was learning so no issues . so i was doing R&D , making arch diagrams etc . then they outsourced all that shit to MongoDB and paid them 80k to build a "sample app" . then asked me to learn swift to handle their mobile app , i was in the process of learning then midway told me to leave that and work on reports in jsreport then midway told me leave that and make privacy laws for the popups 💀 . IT WAS ALL RANDOM and CHAOTIC

For example most incoming PhDs at my uni don't always have publications (R1 school, T40)
It also depends on what field you want to research, everyone and their mom wants to do AI so it's very competitive but other fields are not as competitive
