Intern exp does increase your chances of getting a call/OA since it makes you a more competitive candiate. I just search "Software Engineer" on Linkedin without filtering for entry level (since some postings don't mark "Entry Level"as a category even if they are). You have to go through 5-6 pages but usually I find atleast 5-10 postings a day asking for <2 years experience.
