After looking for entry level roles at Massachusetts, I came across several management roles, numerous senior-level roles and a bunch of embedded or otherwise unrelated roles

Well since you said it outright. These consultancies generally are very shady. They exploit the loopholes in system to get you a job.
Most of the staffing firms provide experienced professionals. Companies dont hire freshers on contract. They ask your dob to know your age and see if they can manipulate your profile so that they can insert 10 yoe.
A firm that I talked to said that would add 10 years in age so that they can add around 9 - 12 years of experience.

To the best of my knowledge they wont do anything with SSN. I know sufficient no if people who got jobs through such firms. Its just basically to check if you are truly who you are and for background check purposes.
As much as they are shady, doing shit with SSN is something that I have not seen.

Then there comes rejections in your mail for all the applications you did earlier. At some point, it all feels useless when you hear another person getting an offer. You break down and again rise after 1-2 days of self-loathing. You start thinking is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Am i that dumb? Why is everyone getting a job and not me? Everyone starts giving advice by sitting on the shore and not in the water while you are the one drowning. Do you think are these people with a job judging me? Each time you want to swim back to the surface a tide comes and pushes you deeper into the ocean. You are trying to hold your breath and stay courageous, fighting with the water. While everyone around you is enjoying their life, not everyone empathizes with your situation because they are not the ones drowning. At the same time, you have a loan that you took for your studies. Also, you are the sensitive one to react to every situation but gradually, you stop reacting. The smallest inconvenience feels big at this point and you start to question everything knowing no way outside. You don't know the path anymore. Somehow, collecting the small amount of courage inside you rests in the corner of your heart. You start doing what is in your hand, u start swimming although your hands and legs are tired you take certain leaps and then reach the depth where sunlight could be seen. it feels good then keep going for the sunlight and try to make your path.

I agree to this. The buying cars, taking trips and flexing. On top of that give advise from the shore as if they are pitying you and call once in a blue moon or don't even check in because their lives are better - but ego doesn't do any good so jokes on them. These past 9 months have shown the true colors of the people around me and have made me more independent and self-assured.
