it is true there's a ton of opportunities in the USA, but that's still a lot less if you are not a U.S citizen and can't apply to most jobs that won't sponsor or require security clearance

The same applies for the UAE as well. Getting a company to sponsor you the work visa is the main goal. In terms of relative number of jobs: The US is better even during the recession. Lots of my friends that graduated with CS degrees in Dubai have switched to other jobs like marketing because there weren’t too many opportunities. It’s getting better but tech in Dubai is still new (like most of the work was outsourced abroad). Albeit, Dubai is slightly better in terms of how you get the work visa: all you need is an offer compared to the whole CPT, OPT and H1-B shenanigans in the US.

But just like the US your stay is tied to the work visa but as long as you work for the company, you can stay. No need to worry about having to stamp for H1-B and all that.

Ya the US is also more fair with their immigration policies. Here you can at least apply for a green card which is a permeant US resident after like 8 years of working i think, and by 15 years you can get a U.S citizenship. In the middle east you can't get a residency no matter how many years you work for them in their country
