So I have an ethical dilemma. I’ve been at the same internship since May at a large retail company. It was originally just for summer but they’ve extended me until I graduate where they plan to hire me, but I haven’t signed a single thing since the original summer contract. I’m currently working part time during school and they’re training me basically to become a full time member of this team. But what they don’t know is, I recently accepted a significantly better offer at a large tech company. This internship is currently paying all my bills and I need the money, but at what point am I obligated to tell them? Obviously I won’t sign anything, but is the move to just focus on self interest and hold out as long as I can?

In interned at a Defense contractor and second what has been said. For me it was mostly behavorial with some trivia type questions like what is inheritance

Also important to know you need to be able to get a security clearance to work in defense which means no criminal record or drug usage of any kind. You can always lie but it's technically a felony to lie on the form so I wouldn't recommend

I used examples where I had project dependencies with other teams that blocked me. I talked about how to resolved it by raising the issue, communicating with other team, and steps to unblock. In hindsight, I could have talked to the other team at start of project to scope potential issues.

My go to is under delivering on a critical project. I got feedback from my client that I wasn't delivering correctly or appropriately. I took that in, asked tons of questions on how I could improve and then I talked about how because of that process I became great at delivering quality products in time. What company doesn't want someone like that y'know?
