Tbh - I go to an extremely large school, and I started the grind pretty late, and it was pretty demoralizing to see on linked in so many people from my school getting faang jobs. (We have a very good competitive programming and cybersecurity teams who place at worlds - so there’s a bunch of recruiting that goes on, despite the school as a whole being mediocre overall). I had to remind myself that out of like 10000+ engineering/CS students those kids I saw on linked in are the top 1% of the school, but anyways I grinded out my junior/senior year and did 3 internships in a row (spring, summer, fall/current) and feel somewhat caught up
