Sure. But then you're adding more complexity for pure DB reasons. Eventually, you need to figure out a "horizontally scalable" DB.

Controversial take but I don't think diversity recruiting is bad at all. I think theirs a valid argument that it can be inaccurate as a function for detecting being disadvantage but just looking at aggregate data on racial outcomes something is going extremely wrong that is causes extremely unequal outcomes for people on average based on their skin color. I'm happy companies are at least attempting to ease some of those differences

I gave her my amazon offer and recruiter told me she can potentially negotiate bloomberg offer to 235 TC by 155/30/40 (base/yearly bonus/ sign on) but that once she does negotiate she has to be sure that i will be accepting by giving me a 24 hour exploding offer but i told her to give me the weekend to consult family and friends.
I am thinking of reaching out monday and telling her about my snap return offer (which got approved in may but haven’t gotten details for but but ik the numbers from other friends) as additional leverage to ensure that i do get that 235k TC approved. Is this a good idea?

Like the reason I'm so scared this year is because there's a scarcity of opportunity in comparison to the past, so right now, the few opportunities I do have to interview are my only chances at my new grad dream job.

As a new grad, there's typically at least 3 rounds of interviews per process, and with more rounds comes a higher chance of rejection(both the skill issue rejects and arbitrary rejects)

@ebon quiver amazon parent company offers can place you anywhere and you can't request it

it could place you in a subsidary

unless its a big enough subsidary to have a separate pipeline

So i think audible and twitch are the only ones that you couldn't be randomly placed on with an offer from Amazon

Because its a separate pipeline it's unlikely that they'll move your offer to the subsidary, as they might have a different interview process

You would have to ask student programs and see, but i don't think it'll get very far tbh

Don't forget that since this is new grad, there's always internal transfers you can do after a while of working

so worst case, you work in an amazon co team and then after a while you transfer to audible or twitch or whatever else you wanted to do

one option is I can say I feel sick. but then twitch n Amazon share candidate profile so they may technically be able to see I'm interviewing with twitch so i could lose both if I do sm shady like that
