One time I got a random dude showing up 10 minutes late on a smudgy video call where he wanted a Data Scientist intern, but didn't know shit about DS, offered $18/hr for "a nice project he could guide me with his analytics experience" and when I told him that my grad school pays me $36/hr just to grade papers, he argued that "you won't get that probably for any data science summer internship". I've had random BS startups attempt discussions in interviewers with a lower caliber than that of grad school project presentations.
