well in the worst case every element in num is unique so you’re initializing a set with O(n) elements, and none of the i’s are in the set which means your initializing a list/array with n elements so O(n), and O(2n) is just O(n)

Alternatively, for new grad, all rounds happen, including VO, and then they match you to teams.

If you're talking about Google again and since you're mentioning multiple roles across multiple teams, I'm assuming this is an industry hire and not new grad (cause new grad is a special category for campus hire). With that assumption, the team you apply for is the team they will consider you for and you will do your VO with that team most likely. In my case, I applied for SWE III Machine Learning (Core), but it was too early for HM.

You can ask the recruiting coordinator to consider you to match against other teams as well, but just keep in mind if you applied to a specific team or not.

It's not a hard rule, but it would make sense that if you applied for a team, they will try to match you to that team first.

It can vary based on company, but for the most part, yeah. Usually the roles for teams have stuff like “software engineer, new grad, payments” in front of them. The ones that are just “software engineer, new grad” are open roles where you can get matched with any team.
