it's really just about your preference? do you wanna try a new place in america, willing to move a few times? do you have family near one place and wanna settle? bay area is huge too, some people who work in those silicon valley tech hub towns might be far away from some cool stuff too

as far as arguments on CoL, that will vary, most salaries even entry level scale just fine for Bay...
but let's say 50% of new grads in the Bay pretty much need to room with somebody to meet their budget goals

and in Seattle it's def less, like 30%

that is one of the biggest pros of Seattle

but for lifestyle, obv Bay has better weather, probably better social stuff

i chose seattle cuz it seems like grass challenged city and i'm a homebody so i don't care about nice weather. but it has nice nature outside of town if you just rent a car (oh right, you don't need a car here)
