Berkeley > UBC and it might be worth the money if you grind internships, but I've heard that their department is a shitshow atm and the classes fill up in 2 seconds

speak to a Berkeley student to get some insight

huge con considering you could literally go to UBC for almost free and get into all the good classes there, in terms of learning there's nothing more special at Berkeley, but in terms of research and industry connections it's a huge positive and will help you out if you're on the grindset

but to answer your question, UBC is a very good school and it's ranked very well, you'll be fine getting into anywhere in the US your biggest hurdle will be if they sponsor which most big companies do so if that's what you're gunning for you don't have to worry in that regard, I know one guy there and he's interning at tesla atm, he's in EE or Mech E but point still stands

There's a good chance you're forced to take awful classes with bad profs at Berk. and that might fuck up your GPA
