u need a tn visa stamp on ur canadian passport to work legally there i think. from my understanding, the company needs to make a package for u that describes the work so that the ppl at the border/port of entry can assess it and let u in. companies get a third-party firm to handle that usually so it's not as simple as giving u an offer letter.

The package is just a TN specific offer letter, everything else is for your SSN which would require things like police background check W finger prints and specific immigration related documents but not needed if you already went through that
