essentially, you're a "business" (e.g. sole proprietorship, under your own name). T2125 is what you're looking for; but, people aren't wrong in saying an accountant can help, etc.

if you want to be most prepared for the write offs, etc. look at the categories of things under T2125 and bring questions about those to your accountant if you're doing it that way rather than DIY (e.g. what can or cannot be claimed under each category, etc.). At least that way you've got a bit of a better starting point for a discussion.

(some) interviewers use graduation date as a proxy for not being able to (legally) ask ages, etc. and some will assume more maturity if your graduation date is say a year earlier (this effect obviously diminishes over time, or, if you have more than one degree); other than that, more chance to graduate/reach a milestone with others who you went through the program with at the same time is a bit better satisfaction wise
