If you have a cracked enough resume, yoy shouldn’t have any issues with companies noticing you. I knew someone who did internships in HS and actually knew CS going into college, and companies naturally found him.

Most likely you would be competing in CS competitions like competitive programming, doing google code jams

There's definitely young people in south bay without families but can be difficult to meet without already have friends in the area (ie: you meet via friends of friends)
