damn that rocks, chipotle did the same for me except i had to do the construction myself and staff all the employees
i had to pay for the deed of the land and also they get to take a life insurance policy on me
yea they said i even had to teach the employees how to put the cucumbers on the sub
(5 medium sized cucumbers, 1 small cucumber)
it's important to put the small cucumber on there to save a bit of money
this why all these companies make you do LC problems (LeetCucumber)
yea it's pretty crazy how many cucumber fun facts i had to recite
The term “cool as a cucumber” is actually derived from the cucumber’s ability to cool the temperature of the blood.
they asked me how to assemble a burrito in O(logn) time using recursion
Was it a LC hard?
getting peer pressured by a cool cucumber and picking up smoking
Middle out, start from the center of the burrito
the guac edge case trips me up everytime
do you ever have to do error checking? what if someone asks for triple guac? doesn't seem like a valid parameter input to me
it's not mandatory but it's very possible someone could ask for 2^32 - 1 guac with their order. gotta ask your interviewer though if it's in the scope of the question
it can get pretty tough, sometimes it asks for the lettuce first so you can try padding it down to leave space for other veggies, but the worst is when they ask for it last and it bloats the memory allocation
i hate the dynamic programming question where you have to make the tastiest burrito using all the ingredients without stuffing too much and having it fall apart
lettuce burrito is the easiest case to build off on though
sometimes it becomes a DM problem (Double Meat) and there is no exact solution on making the perfect one
¯_(ツ)_/¯
not sure how i feel about my chipotle offer since they've started giving offers to people from less prestigious places like qdoba
thinking about reneging it for amazon not sure
this is actually my favorite variation of knapsack because of its applicability to real life situations
wouldn't recommend reneging it for amazon, packing boxes is likely what team you'll get matched to
i was hoping i could make burritos in the amazon kitchen but that makes sense
yeah dont wanna do facebook as well you might get stuck doing daily missions for Pet Society
you could check out "Yogurt Lab"
they're a late stage startup that's growing quickly

I heard McD is not bad but its a lot of automation
so thats why chipotle Interviewed you
no real dev work
looks like he's going to have to retake a burrito structures & algorithms course to reduce that to O(logn)
he's actually trying to make a subburrito out of every burrito combination
ah you can just divide and conquer
never forget that includes the null set burrito (tortilla wrap with no extra ingredients)
is the null set toasted?
how often does that edge case appear?
i think for the sake of the question, all tortilla wraps are toasted
Heya, has anyone found the Google Tech Dev Guide helpful for preparing for their interviews?
Anyone know if there's a difference between Jr. Software Engineer and new grad positions for Amazon?
Unable to locate data on Hitachi
!salary general motors
Unable to locate data on Genenal Motors
!salary general motors
Software Engineer compensation at General Motors ranges from $76k per year for Software Engineer 1 to $126k per year for Software Engineer 3. The median compensation package totals $82k. Get a look into the base, stock, and bonus package breakdowns as well as General Motors's standard stock vesting schedule.
Before u get an interview from a company
Is it directly from a recruiter
Or hiring manager approves first
depending on the company tbh lol
what's up with this google offer
131 base + 25/yr stock = 156 recurring?
185 y2 including like yearly bonus and 401k or some shit?
or am i misunderstanding how the refresher and vesting works
google comp is hard to measure
15% target bonus, yearly refresher, spot bonus and peer bonus, etc
what are spot bonus and peer bonus?
bonuses your coworkers and manager can give you for good performance
So. Intuit ghosted people after karat?? Any idea if they're still hiring or they done?
Just received an email today saying that they filled the new grad position
4 weeks after I interviewed with Karat
I received an email yesterday with the recruiter mentioning that they are moving forward to final round but there are experiencing backlog
Dam are she lying to me😂
Maybe they filled the positions today? I received it yesterday
Good luck!
Anyone think about being an interview engineer?
Tips for someone who graduated from bootcamp summer 2020 and is now actively interviewing?
Never give up!
Is that bytedance salary for newgrad?
2-1 is a step above new grad iirc
Guy had like 3yoe
Has anyone interviewed with Tesla ?

Did anyone interview (Super Day) with The Predictive Index recently?

does anyone know when will be Goldman Sachs superday?

Does new grad positions have superday curious ?
I dont think superday is for new grads

@sleek osprey
Working at Amazon is really THAT bad?
@pseudo bough however long it take to find another one lmaooooo.

any reviews on pathrise?

Anyone got the HireVue round from transferwise?

Did anybody Interview with Microsoft for the New Grad position?
Yessir

When did u apply gor transferwise and when did u get the OA
End of Feb. Got the first round mid March. Now have the HireVue round

anyone done an onsite at qualtrics? got mine coming up and i'm worried af lol
gl bro
ty ty i’mma need it after that leetcode hard on the phone screen 😬😬😬
I did a virtual onsite with them a few months ago. The questions were really easy. Like leetcode easy and easy end of leetcode medium
ahhhh okay thank you i hope i get some like that LOL
has anyone given Snap Inc new grad phone interview?

daily prayer y'all!

phone screen is just informational

Does hrt sponsor h1b for international students

sailpoint vs capital one for full time?
say sailpoint comp is 85k + 10k (idk yet) c1 is 95k
Anyone heard back Auth0?
Anyone here got an offer from PNC Bank?
it is a feeder ya
so u’d be taking a gamble with sailpoint since u have no frame of reference how easy it is to get interviews as a sailpoint engineer
i interviewed with a devops engineer last summer and it was easy af
literally check if something is a palindrome easy
i just hate c1's start date, aug 23, id rather have something early june
u didn't have an option to choose the start date?
iirc they have one in each of june, july, aug
nope, double checked with recruiter too
they have july starts for some other programs besides TDP/CODA
eh whatever, just chill til august then 😎
What would you say is more important: Leetcoding or projects? I feel like interviewers are looking for how you approach how to solve a problem the most. Like Linked Lists.. if I got that in an interview I'd probably be fucked. So better to know that, right?
Depends - to even land an interview you need a good resume. That’s where personal projects come in - how’s your resume? If you need to buff it up then do personal projects. If you get interviews then spam Leetcode. Either/or you’ll need Leetcode at the end of the day
Very true, thank you!
anyone have experience with language based interviews?
as in not so much ds+a but how familiar you are with your preferred language
damn was that in the job description?
also how did you end up doing on the rust interview jc
yo what
c++ and java are like the furthest thing from JS
? what is "faanglite"
Has anybody recently gave interview at Ridecell?
I haven't gotten an offer, but a recruiter reached out to me for a new grad position after I applied for an internship
Oh that's cool. I was confused at first because I thought they did all of their new grad recruiting through interns from the previous year
Anyone who has interviewed for Apple for Data Engineering positions or even SWE in general? What's the interview process like and any recommendations for prep??
ya u go on linkedin and it's v common to see c1 -> big n or even hft
jsut makes sense to me to go with c1 here
bro its crazy
afaik no one's actually gotten a new grad external hire from fb this year

but maybe someone has and just hasn't said anything which is v possible
Pretty sure that’s due to covid tho
well ya
my friend is graduating this year but he got in as intern
My mentor is an engineer at Facebook and said it’s mainly cuz of covid
so yeah i can back that
For interview with google would it be better to study the google leetcode tagged problems in this server or the 65 coding practice problems that google gives us (New grad 2021)
hi guys! I'm looking for SWE/devops new grads positions. do we have any list of opening positions? i only found entry levels 😫
Yeah new grad
isn't entry level new grad
i don't think so. cause extra level required 5 years+ exp @stone monolith
uh oh
5 years exp required for entry level
sounds like entry level work these days
5 years exp, 20 years React exp, 55k salary in NYC
55k is a little high for 20years of react exp imo especially for nyc
and unpaid on call
no equity
is that ur puppy or is it a pic u found
i wish it was my puppy but it’s maya https://instagram.com/mayapolarbear?igshid=1bpo8lyv6bygh
Anyone know what groupons new grad salary is? Please @ me
What’s the difference between new grad backend engineer position and new grad full stack engineer position? Doesn’t full stack entail some backend implementation? Stripe is offering me either one and idk which one to take. Which one will make me look more desirable to future employers/has more work opportunity ?
full stack will also involve you doing frontend work as well
maya ❤️
yeah the options for new grad were front end, back end, or full stack. I mainly want to do full stack or back end. I’m just not sure which one will look nice and will have more opportunities for future work. Any thoughts?
Like I’ve made full stack projects in the past before but I’m not sure what a real world full stack position entails. I’ve never done an internship before either so idk what to expect
starting out as a new grad i think it's best to start wide and then specialize later, especially since you've never done an internship doing full stack would be a great opportunity to see how the whole system of a company's product works
in terms of a real world full stack position, you could be responsible for say creating a backend API as well as creating the front end that consumes it
for stripe especially full stack is a great choice
their front end is even considered the golden standard for FE dev
full stack positions mostly require previous experience tho @last linden
how do u get those positions as a new grad with no exp?
it is a criminal offense to only include 1 pic here
gonna have to rescind your offer if you can’t meet the daily dog pic quota

I wish my boi liked carrots. He's a fullass carnivore...
WHY IS THAT DOG SO CUTE 😍
You don't need an swe job. Just make a youtube account and overtake maya the polar bear
Let mishka munch on carrots and lettuce everyday
Samoyed asmr
she eats anything u put in her mouth it's ridiculous
The only veggie my pupper eats is grass 🙄
😂😂 she also loves grass :P
did anyone receive a walmart offer and feel comfortable discussing the TC / if you renegotiated? please feel free to DM me!
Walmart doesn’t negotiate
this
Oh this is for NG, not 100% sure actually, but iirc they don’t
i dont grad til 2023, but i was jw, is new grad hiring process better or worse than intern process?
it seems pretty intimidating so my goal was hopefully to just have a return offer for FT and take it but i was wondering what everyone had to say about it
worse but the potential of having a return offer evens out the EV
anyone interviewed at foursquare before?
I got rejected after submitting the 3 OAs for Amazon new grad position. I'm looking forward to apply for SDE1 position now. Do I have to wait for 6 months or I can apply right away?
Wait wut, I thought both of those positions were the same thing
SDE1 == New Grad for Amazon, no?
I got rejected by Amazon too 😦 I even got a virtual interview
didnt even ask me a coding problem, he just asked me to explain my code in OA
Wait you got the 30 minute round?
Did you not tie in LP to your behavioral questions?
uhh lol
@mighty plume did u cheat
that sus, also i thought you couldnt
hell no wtf they were LC easy problems
LOL
whats weird is that, they said im getting a virtual interview, but it is also the "final round"
im never heard of a single 30 min tech interview to decide getting the role
it's extremely common
that's why it's called the meme round
and why amazon's new grad pip rate is so high
common as in common for amazon? cuz i havent seen other companies do that
what comapony?
oh hm
what does blind say
like are there lots of pips or nah
i mean they cant pip all of u LOL
what comapny is this
hard to say much if we know nothing about the company size, name, history etc
only thing i got from oracle is them ghosting me
every year
lol
target school?
does that mean i can find oracle on my school's handshake website
I think you'll be fine ask your coworkers?
so u dont know your coworkers?
oh fuck
u cant contact them at all?
i mean u can still contact them somehow right
like say hey do u want to do a coffee chat
?
i have no idea what you mean
like if u said they're all struggling then just ask them
unless you feel like they might backstab
but in that case that sjust a terrible work exp
well yea
rip 😦
maybe try transfering teams
not sure what you mean by target school but i got an offer from them and i don’t go to a top school
ah i don’t think that’s true of oracle
lol
had anyone interviewed for HRT - algo developer role?
Did you have your interview at Discovery already? I had mine last week too
@still marsh
thanks
Yo I live in Atlanta so I interned at the ncr global HQ for a year and a half. Ngl I got treated like fuckin shit at that company and I don’t ever wanna work there again
I’d recommend jumping ship as soon as you can dude
Has anyone received google canada OA?
Snap just opened a new grad SWE position for Mountain View 👀
Check out this job at Snap Inc.: Software Engineer - NEW GRAD(Security Backend) https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/2460881750
All good dude, I didn’t mean to COMPLETELY bash on them but I have heard good things. It’s definitely team dependent so see if you can switch teams
Yeah lmao I worked 10 hours a week as an intern but got paid for 40. So much grunt work it’s ridiculous, learned nothing
As long as you’re learning that’s good, just wait it out until you can switch teams or find a new job tbh
Not too familiar, I usually just apply to a bunch of SWE internships at like various companies. Microsoft is opening up an office here so that’s a good option if you haven’t applied already
yep still have not heard back wbu? Was told mid week this week. And also did you get to say or pick location prefer or anything about tc? i didn’t
Nah I haven’t either. Ans nope I didn’t even have time to ask most of the questions I wanted so I asked the recruiter but she still hasn’t gotten back to me lol @undone abyss
gotcha bro if i find out anything will let you know!!
just avoid witch companies that prey
every recruiting agency i've talked to has been very nice but once they send my resume to the company that they're recruiting for i never hear back
so who knows
bruh fuck this field
i just had a dream where i solved leetcode problems the entire time

How much time does it take to hear back from intuit after the karat video round
I got an email from Goldman Sachs for a brief phone call. Any insights on what do they usually ask in that?
anyone got a list of common behavioral interview themes to prepare answers for? like conflict resolution, technical challenges, etc
Anyone heard of Cognizant? Is it a good company?
I remember@worthy spear had some thoughts on it, part of the acronym WITCH
Cognizant on the levels of Accenture Tata revature
oof yeah i used to think that cs would be cake since it's such a growing field and there'd be a lot of jobs for it in the future. big problem though is that the field is incredibly competitive and it feels like you gotta continuously keep doing more in order to stand out
like if you don't go to a school where tech companies heavily recruit you're basically gonna have to muscle your way up
at my school, the only real companies that recruit for CS are cap one and defense contractors
yeah its all defense for me
microsoft comes by every now and then but they didn't this year just in time for new grad, and out of moral principle i really do not want to work for defense
i couldn't imagine having companies coming to your university to actually recruit lmao
closest place we had was Indeed
even if companies visit, how much conversion is there? for me at least it feels like they snipe one person or no one
it depends i feel
when microsoft came i'd probably say they gave out like 10-15% of the people who talked to them a first round interview
@iron gate if u still need smth by then i gotchu for a referral once i start working
anythin for a chipotle boy
🌯 🤝 🥪
stuff like this is the funniest
someone reached out to me for an internship that involved writing and training ML models for government documentation
$12 an hour
lol what
reminds me of that tweet about the recruiter who tried to convince this person to accept a job for less than her current salary because "she's young and she shouldn't be making that much anyways"
it's prob on /r/recruitinghell somewhere
give me a sec
115 more than enough @worthy spear
Also depends
Where ya stay
In nee York
New
Rent is a lot out here
wait where is that
i heard most people just live in brooklyn
manhattan is way too expensive and loud
Anyone done the 30 minute google hangout with the recruiter for the google new grad role
i think they were out last month
same I thought Google new grad deadline passed a while ago
hmm wondering if i can get yall's input

Recently finished my first interview with a non newgrad position at apple, my experience and skills seemed to really interest the team, so im moving onto the next interview with a take home project rather than a leetcode interview. Unfortunately(fortunately)? I have made it to the final interview this friday for another startup new grad position, and while i really like this start up, i would definitely take apple over them. My question and concern is, how do I approach Apple in a way that will hurry my application process.

Mail your recruiter and tell them that you have upcoming deadlines. This would definitely speed up the process

@eternal jolt like Morningstar said. Also, if the startup gives you an offer you probably will have time to go through the Apple process.
yes, would ask for time before singing the offer with the startup
if nothing works out accept the offer and then renege ( worst case scenario )
👍 i see, i guess im just not too familiar on how to approach this issue. Is it irrational to have the fear of not signing the offer and thinking that it will get revoked?
mm aight for sure thank you

ty for this, just got an email for next steps

@clear zenith np, gl!

Anyone of y’all do that neeva project

How can I answer "how soon would you be able to start" if I have other interviews??
without sounding like a dickhead
I wanted to do it but my xcode is old asf im still on mojave
@grave wagon just put a month out. Or whenever you think you’d have time to comfortably interview with the other company and have a week buffer
why would you do that if you can use deque?
and popleft ?
If your interviewer knew python they would def call you out on that
are there queues and stacks in python or does everyone just use double ended queue
stacks use the standard list and queue you use deque
Just use deque as both ur stack and queue lol
deque is too convenient to not use :^)
Bless up 3.7
I haven't tried deque yet ... I use list all the time lol
just push from front and pop from the front if stack else pop from the back lmao
Is deque pronounced deck or d-queue?
Had a professor call it deck but in my head d-q always made sense lol
a guys called it dick" once in my class lol
I also say d-q but it might be deck
Data structure is pronounced deck operation is d-q
Walmart asking feedback after ghosting me after final interview
gotta give them some juicy feedback
Lol same 🤣
Just write “You’ll never be Amazon” lol
Right? Amazon gave my result in 3 days lol
yup. they gotta keep up with the competitors if they wanna be on top
Microsoft final round in two days. Pray to the leetcode gods for me

Smh google didn’t get back to me , feel dumb asf
amazon oa1 is usually debugging right? I think I just got sent an oa2 with the 2 questions
uhh is the neeva project worth doing?? swarmed with work and school idk if its worth taking the time to do it....

only for new grad, if u applied to a sde 1 posting directly u get oa2 with 2 questions a bit more stuff after

Hey y’all! Just wondering, but has anyone interviewed or landed an offer for new grad iOS positions? I ask, so I can have a list of companies to first apply to for when I search for New Grad this upcoming fall.

Robinhood has iOS new grad positions
Yeah. They seem to be pretty good.
I'm just afraid I'm going to get all leetcode hards😂
MLE position?
Any Oracle new grads here?
Nah. SWE
i signed at OCI

what are you thoughts on consultancy in general, dont know too much about it
i see online that you learn a lot
but low pay
i mean lower pay
yeah thats the issue
they swap out roles we hold dear
with analyst or consultant
What has your guys' response rate been to applications? I'm at 2% (8/301). Wondering if that's low or not.
response is just oa, phone etc right
yeah
i didnt apply too much, but i got ghosted by 10% before anything, move on with 40%, and the rest auto reject
in some cases i got interview without applying
that makes up part of the 40%
What are the thoughts on Deloitte? They just reached out about a technology analyst role with a coding challenge. Curious how technical this role would be
@dim scarab damn that’s pretty good
i don’t think the technology analyst roles are for swe or any kind of development if that’s what you’re looking for? sounds more like business analyst but i could be wrong
Why are they having me do leetcode mediums for a business analyst position lol
anyone completed 30 min interview round with Amazon recently for New Grad role?
Which role did you apply for ?
i can just share my old codesignal score right? I don't have to retake if company requests one?
Just signed cockroach labs 🥳
gz beast
now i can leave this server
@paper hinge what was the position? Is it a new grad role ?
yooooo congrats 🎉
Anyone take capgemini coding assessment?
I interviewed with them but didn't have no coding assessment
Has anyone interviewed with dgraph labs ?
Yeah.
7 debugging, 2 Leetcode style questions, work style assessment
Am i fucked if i dont have an internship, while applying to new grad? Tryna just get a unicorn/FAANG or something
does anyone know how you check the status for discovery app? my dashboard doesn’t say anything so uhh idk i think i got ghosted
cool, thanks
r u applying now? they're all over except google
I graduate fall of 2021
Yea i just applied to google the other week and they didn’t respond
Is there gonna be another cycle for newgrad jobs or just like will it be a continual small stream
Does Stripe take New Grads? I don't see any new grad roles on their website. Is it that they are done hiring new grads for this year?

swe new grad
do you guys think a 45 minute zoom interview is going to be technical?
Could be
im in contact with the manager tho
They finished hiring new grads in December last year lol
^
anyone done a hiring manager interview w qualtrics?
Yeah it was 4 coding questions 1 hr lol
are any well known companies in nyc still hiring?
When I uploaded my resume in Workday. My graduation date is not being parsed automatically even though I am entering it correctly in my resume. Anyone facing the same issue?
I had a similar problem with latex resume. Changing to the latest version on overleaf fixed it
Hello anyone interviewed with eBay new grad recently?
#for Newyork location
Please DM me.
Finally after a delay from Astranis, I got an email stating they are still interested. What to expect for the interview process?
yeah i think they are the I
but question, whats so bad about them?
i dont know too much about these companies except fot tata
+1
From what i have heard most people are there to work on something and while they look for abetter job
thats most ppl
wait amazon OA1 no python (newgrad)?
yep, no python
Yup only Java/C/C++
Anyone interviewed with GTSx in NYC?
isn't OA1 just the debugging?
No sir lol I had a DP and a graphs problem
anyone do a qualcomm onsite? SDET would be even more helpful
anyone do coding challenge for wolverine trading?
@honest jewel yup.
Bouta take it in a couple hours, time to learn Java
Anyone got tech interview from datavisor? The position is software engineer - algorithm/AI
anybody got anything to say about ICS? (Integrated Computer Solutions)
@hf did u complete all problems in akuna OA? Wondering if ill get rejected cuz i didnt finish one problem
Just finished my on-site with Microsoft. Your frog prayers saved me the questions were easy

thoughts on interviewing with a company you aren’t interested in relocating to (post pandemic)? is it fine to just do the technicals for practice and then turn down the offer at the end (assuming you get one)?
Yeah or use that offer to leverage other offers you actually want
I have the mindset where if I have the opportunity to interview with any company (besides WITCH) I’ll do it
Experience is >>>
what is WITCH?
Terrible companies you never wanna work for
good point though, can definitely always use more technical interview practice
Yup exactly
ahhhh okay, are they specific companies or just a general term
lmao the anti faang
wipro and hcl i think
Ye it’s literally the antifaang
Not sure if they are as bad as people say obv cuz I don’t have any experience with them but
I did get through the cognizant intern pipeline for a position but I’m not going through with it
Feels like a waste of my time
They might as well be
With how they pay and treat people
i only know ppl who work there that also live in india
I hear TATA is extremely racist if you aren’t south Asian male lol

My cousin used to work for cognizant
He said it’s good for new grads to learn right away
But with the expectations of this server
Lmaooo
It’s not good
How’s the pay tho? I hear they underpay like a mofo
I hear WITCH is basically for people who didn’t go the school route
And did boot camps
Cuz they’re desperate for experience at that point
Na also people who went to decent schools and no internships
True
Evwn then I feel like connections and personal projects would be better than WITCH
I mean they overwork you from what I’ve heard
So why not spend time doing personal projects and LC
Lmaooo
Na my cousin spent 2 years at jnfosys
Then gotta job at fb
Infosys*
But honestly he super vague about it cuz his LinkedIn says oculusVR
But I tbink Facebook owns oculus
Or I’m dumb
did his profile mention that he worked at infosys lol
If your fulltime doesnt start until August, how do you keep in contact with your future boss/team until then?
You don’t and enjoy the freedom
Anyone else here graduating this year and haven't really applied anywhere yet? I've been so overwhelmed lately with school and my job.
I’d say apply places just to get in the habit of taking these coding assessments lol
Anyone got reject after amazon waitlist?
just do one leetcode a day everyday for the next couple of weeks. 30 minutes a day won't hurt too much
and then when you're ready to apply just start
you can but at a certain point it just gets weird
just relax and code bro
I was bugging my recruiter like every week or so till about two weeks ago when I was just like "screw it, I'm going to enjoy the rest of my time in college for once"
and now I've got bad senioritis
but i'm happy
Hey everyone, is there any kind of list of companies/openings that offer visa sponsorship for new grad positions?
Help appreciated.
Search millions of H1B salaries from the up-to-date official H1B data disclosed by the United States Department of Labor by company, job title, location.
How to answer the question ‘are there any offer deadlines or interviews that we have to know about?’
You either answer yes or no?
who needs practical coding skills when you can just grind leetcode?
the absolute state of the tech industry
#coding
#tech
#leetcode
Anyone started applying for fall jobs yet?

Anyone do ion group video interview ?
How do I use an offer that is paying less to negotiate up an offer that is paying more lol
@civic rivet negotiate the lower one higher (hopefully higher than initial high), then go to initial high and use new offer to negotiate higher
I was lowkey joking
But with nuance that is the basis of salary negotiation
Low one is non negotiable. It is in a LCOL vs HCOL of the high one
Maybe I could use that
is it considered a good sign if they take down the job posting right after your final round interview
did they interview other people for the final as well
prob means someone will get an offer, could be you
knock on wood

It does
Reneging bad guys. Stay for low pay and good culture
A company would never lay you off 😇

I had someone say to me that as well a long time ago lmfao

has anyone done an OA for the national bank of canada

Completed Goldman Sachs OA (passed all tests) rejected 5 days later.....
Same for me lol
R u from the US?
Im thinking i got rejected cuz i need to be sponsored
Dam yext rejected me in 10 minutes
No, that might be the problem
Anyone know new grad pay at places like Addepar, Anduril, Benchling
Anyone have experience with Groupon? What’s the reputation?
tfw they said they'll get to me after an interview in the next business day but its a friday
I got multiple OAs from a company cuz I applied to multiple positions, does that mean I have to do all of them lol
or do I do one and it applies to al
Rejected is “OK”, ghosting on the other hand
Is also rejection
anyone got a rip for algoexpert easily accessible lol
In my experience, youd have to do multiple OAs (bytedance mentioned that specifically, idk if thats the company ur applying to tho)
So far from what I’ve gathered online, they’re a “dying” company. I keep seeing people talk about how there’s not as much good talent nowadays at Groupon. But supposedly they’re trying to turn all of that around. Idk 🤷🏽♂️
They pay very well for the Chicago area and I read the WLB is great so 🤷🏽♂️
Anyone ever interview for capgemini
How much time for it
addepar had new grad positions? or is this for intern?
I have
Has anyone given onsite for Better.com New grad position?
@cerulean pivot just messaging here because i don't know where else would be best to put it, but since I am now graduating in Fall 2021 when should I start looking for new grad jobs? About the same time as people graduating Spring 2022?
yea look in fall 2021
alright bet thanks!

anyone do the interview loop with lever(job application portal company)?

Interviewception

it really feels like that 😂 i was shocked when it was them asking to interview me
I am looking for a SD role, so should I focus on learning any specific tech like ReactJS, Flask, etc. or I should focus on Leetcode more to clear interview rounds. I think start-ups focus more on Tech part so I am a bit confused.
anyone know if the neeva mobile deveopler interview will be on swift / ios development or regular ds/algo questions. Not sure if it's even worth doing the project since id need to borrow a macbook to do it

Anyone got assessment from Text IQ for SE role?
Me

what stage? chatted with the recruiter and it seemed like a chill company, but too small for my liking (I think they had like <10 engineers managing their whole frontend iirc)
I have my first technical interview coming up.
Yeah, the backend team is 4 people. But they seem pretty cool.
🕯️

Hi everyone. I graduate in August and kind of missed the big hiring season late last year/early this year (did get an internship though, but) and was wondering where I might search for new grad opportunities currently. Where do y'all go to find new grad/entry level roles?

Is the new grad Amazon SWE program full? I hear everyone is getting put on a waitlist now.
My 6 month cool down ends in April and wonder if I should apply again.

anyone done a technical with snap? not sure what to expect
Track the value of an investment after a contribution, if it's greater than your max, set it as your new max
Time Limit Exceeded
anyone have the 1 hour new grad interview for Visa?
Maybe reduce the number of operations you do on investments by merging the contributions

Great Idea !!!. Would like to your intuition and also if this is your first time seeing this problem or did you see some sort of a problem like this. Great idea though !!!!👏🏽
decrement from end+1? im not sure i understand, how would that help to determine the max
lmao anyone else just get a google oa?
@west heart when did you apply btw
a month ago? i think
oh cool
pog

Anyone here do a final round with microsoft recently?
Yes

Life is stressful for a 2021 grad
haha I have mine tomorrow
My questions were build a linked list from scratch and implement push pop add remove, reverse words in string, print letters that appear more than once, and find largest sub array sum given set sub array length
Fuck the NDA
jk i didn’t sign one
most of those are def a lot easier than what they normally ask, u sure they weren't just trying to use these as precursors to followups that were the actual problems they wanted to ask?
did u get asked followups?
Yeah it was weirdly easy. There were follow ups but nothing crazy. I spent a month prepping for at least mediums and thought I did really well. So the rejection without feedback is disappointing to say the least
sorry to hear that, yea that's strange
it's possible they were also looking to ask two problems in one interview, but who knows
I guess I ran out of time for a follow up on the linked list one but that’s about it
i’ve talked to a few people but has anyone else here done the qualtrics hiring manager interview? they gave me a codeshare/hackerrank link so i’m a little worried??

Hang in there fellas! I’m a Fall ‘20 graduate with no internship experience and signed an offer with Stripe. Keep the faith alive!

Congrats!
this is fkn nutty

i graduate spring 22 and im scared shitless for new grad
In the fall of 2020. The reason why I had no internships is because I spent all my summer studying for the GRE and junior year I took the test and passed with great scores but then Covid happened and I didn’t want to go to online school for a masters.
I was freaking out because all my friends had jobs from FAANGs and I felt like I wasted my 4 years studying for good grades since I wasn’t going to grad school anymore
Does anyone know what is ebay 15 minute?
And then someone in this discord linked the application for KP Fellowship and I decided to apply and got lucky and was accepted into it
Yeah and each test take is $200 😦
what's the kp process? do they match you with companies to interview or do they interview you themselves and then match?
I’m here to help anyway I can because this discord literally changed my life

what is KP?
Companies reach out to you
Yeah your scores are valid for 5 years
The Kleiner Perkins Fellows Program connects students with opportunities to work with Silicon Valley's best companies.
Me neither! I had no job lined up and I didn’t even know what a VC was lol. I saw someone in this discord posted the application for this in like October and decided to apply because I was applying to any job posting at that point
you miss all the shots you dont take buddy
Are there any companies still doing new grad recruitment? I do not want to move to Arkansas and work for Walmart
o god
i dont think so
seems like the applications open september. ill be doing this in september
if they are they're probably looking for a Fall start
this season's ship has sailed
Fml
Yeah you are eligible for new grad positions a year past graduation. My friend just signed a new grad offer with Snapchat in October and they graduated May ‘20 with no job either
yeah depending on company seems like 6mo-1yr
However I know Amazon is strict on their new grad cut offs
I’ll probably just accept Walmart and deal with it for 6-12 months
I didn’t even know Arkansas had a tech scene lmao
once u get experience youll get interviews like crazy is what ive heard
They don’t. Literally just walmart hq
Honestly you can still apply to other jobs while working for them and then leave at the first offer
A lot of people do this
do u mind if i ask when youre starting the job for stripe? or if you did when u started
i didnt know FAANG companies have new grad positions opened for late summer and fall 🤔
Start in June! I’ve been sitting at home doing nothing since I graduated in August lol
so once u apply to KP they interview you. Then companies that want u interview you again?
congrats man. if you had the chance to go back do you think youd get a job at a smaller company for the year and keep applying for new grad positions so you dont chill for a year or is that not allowed
Yeah it’s an intense process but it’s worth it! The networking is insane. Every year they have an alumni banquet with past Fellows and they said different company CEOs come to the banquet
It depends. Some companies make you sign a contract for X amount of years while other companies have an “employment at will” clause (meaning you can leave at anytime). I know it sounds crazy, but I knew what I was capable of and I knew I could absolutely get into a big company/program so I waited till the fall to apply for new grad positions instead of applying to small companies.
can i dm you about this?
Yeah sure go ahead!
so i guess it wasnt worth it getting some smaller company near you for 6 months while you wait (making sure they dont have x amount of years clause) for this huh
Yeah but it really depends on your situation. Like if you need money then of course you should take smaller companies. I’m very fortunate enough where I didn’t need money right away and could live with my parents and they were very supportive
I actually have a friend who graduated last spring and took a job with Accenture as a consultant and in December he just signed an offer with Microsoft. So having something is better than having nothing in some cases.
was it a new grad microsoft position?
Yeah. You are eligible for new grad positions up to 1 year since whenever you graduated so he applied in September.
