most companies can smd
Are the questions on OA's typically harder than those during phone/onsite interviews? Or does it depend by company?
depends on company
but usually OA questions are easier than the phone/onsite rounds
i disagree, i find OA questions harder
Because they usually have pre-defined test cases and TLEs
Obviously it's dependent from OA to OA
trading OA questions are generally harder than the later rounds
I think most OAs have been harder than phones/onsites for me
not nuro š¦
doordash be hitting me with the "hey you're invited to the fireside chat w/ director of engineering"
then at the bottom
"Please note: This event is intended for informational purposes; our New Grad and Intern SWE roles are closed for the season."
Haa anybody completed coding challenge at Everlaw lately?
I KNOW RIGHT
hey guys, any tips to practice for OOP design problems? I will interview with Amazon for SDE new grad and I heard they could ask OOP. I only practiced on LeetCode so far (no OOP) so I need to catch up
Yes. They ask you to build something in 3 hours. They have a prompt of what to build.
Thanks
^
Whatās the longest you guys have had to wait after the final round interview to get an offer?
2wk
4 week
6wk
Applied freshman year hs, got callback sophomore yr of college...6 yrs
7yr
Damn chik fil a really did that to you huh
They ghosted me. Musta been cuz i applied on a sunday. Understandable
How good/bad is to take devops role as a new grad?
If you like devops I'd say that's pretty good
sitting at 5 weeks for roblox , know people that have been waiting for almost 2 months lmao
Oh wow and here I am at 3 weeks already losing hope
Does roblox have a phone interview before the final or is there just one round after the OA?
I reneged on Cisco a couple weeks back and havenāt heard any response or anything yet... I should just leave it as is right? Or should I send the email again lmfao
Devops is very much in demand and imo will continue to be with everything moving to the cloud. Just know that you probably won't be spending much time writing code or working on features.
Smart move I'd say, they can mess up a lil front end but they can't mess up when it comes to availability. That is where the money dissolves the most per second(s) down
I am working on DevOps side rn, but it usually involves a CI/CD pipeline that you have to follow
So do u write scripts?
It's a different world from purely full stack development for me
Yes I write C/Javascript/Java scripts
dev ops is huge, someone i know is interviewing with amazon for devops role, they have a business technology BS degree or whatever (i think business technoogy management) and no real dev experience but they have some aws certs and cool projects
amazon told them they are in desperate need
yes ^^^
amazon verbatim told them "it's ok if you're not a pro, we will teach you"
So is the pay and growth same as that of swe?
of course it's not but if you're making 6 figures at end of day in a few years who gives a damn lol
FIRE at 55 vs this discord's ideal 45 or whatever
well devops is just like another SWE role, it's just more specific
Sometimes they're disguised as Back-end Software Engineers
It's different for every company but yeah
Devops pays less? That's news to me lol
I read devops are paid more
I would assume it follows the rule of specialization where the more u specialize the more it pays? But as a trend i still think swe on average pays more. Dont quote me
code silverback > dev ops silverback > code monkey > devops monkey
Oof yea on call sucks
But aren't most swe at tech companies on call anyways
yeah usually most teams have oncall rotations
but if you're doing infra work you're more likely to be paged at 2AM than someone on an internal tooling team
Iād be down for 1 wk out of month on call if everything else about job is cool
True true
omg imagine the people that will get paged on xmas day this year
Inb4 aws goes down... again
anyone done groupon phone for ios?
family med seems to have pretty chill lives
Yeah some specialties do as well
You could ask them how best to prepare for it
Also, maybe other people on here can tell you if they've interviewed with that company before
In that case, you should prepare for behavioral questions definitely. You should review the STAR technique and all that
If it's non LC technical interview, I'm assuming that means they're going to be asking you about CS concepts
Zillow isn't hiring new grads, right?
No problem!
Ah that's what I've seen too
I feel like I'm running out of large companies to apply to lol
"entry level" helps to get foot in the door
Hey guys, sort of in a jiffy here. So I applied for TikTok's 2021 New Grad roles when they opened, and I got a recruiter screening instead of an OA.
When I asked about it, the recruiter told me "because you graduated in May 2020, not December 2020 or onwards, we're having you do the regular loop of 4 rounds: 3 technical and 1 hiring manager (which could be more LC or System Design)". For reference, the New Grad loop that everyone is getting after the OA is 3 rounds: 2 technical, 1 behavioral.
Recruiter tried to justify it by saying "oh they're not that different, at least you didn't have to take the OA" (which admittedly is a valid point). But after hearing about everyone getting LC hards for their 2 New Grad rounds, 4 rounds seems pretty rough, not to mention the other people they're interviewing for the position will be other SDE1/equivalents, not really other new grads. Is it reasonable to try and like....ask for the New Grad loop?
sounds like you're prob in the interview loop for 2-1 instead of 1-2, so you'll be getting a bigger offer if you do get it in the end
it doesn't hurt to ask if you still want to go through the new grad loop though
^
Hmm....valid points. I low key did ask the recruiter if it was possible and she kind of brushed that aside and didn't really say yes, I'd still like to ask again but I'd need a compelling reason, but I can't just say "I don't feel like I have a chance" lol. Just feels weird that I'm basically a new grad but they still shoved me into the 2-1 loop
has anyone tried calling their recruiter lmao? I'm talking about the business number in their email signature that some of them have. I've been going back and forth with a recruiter for a month now and we've made 0 progress, and now they're just not responding to me anymore, not sure how to proceed
@spring verge is this roblox?
no, it's the company that I interned for. I didn't get a return offer initially because there was no room but then they reached back out saying there's a spot open but we've made no progress towards next steps
Also most of the people who have had final rounds as new grads for tiktok have had LC questions asked as well. I'm pretty sure they don't actually do full behavioral final rounds. So either way sounds like you're going to have to do 3 LC rounds at least either way
So you had to do 3 LC rounds?
My last round is next week, but other people I've talked to (3 ppl)
Hmm interesting..alright.
cus my friend's initial email from the recruiter laid out the process for NG and it explicitly said 2 LC 1 behavioral but maybe they're not consistent
Yea my email said that too
rip
Can I ask what role this is? In my first email, it was mentioned to expect 3 technical interviews.
new grad tiktok product, this was in the email of my interview confirmation of my final round:
"The focus will be behavior, the hiring manager may also ask a coding question as well."
Oh, thanks! I am interviewing for new grad - full stack and the email had:
"Please expect a total of 3 rounds of live coding technical interviews."
Yes. I did not have any behavioural round.
3 rounds of LC.
anyone know what the cooldown period for bloomberg or imc trading is?
6 months for bb I believe
would they know if we used a different email lol
i've heard of someone using a different email and getting it again, but you'd have to reword a lot of fields in your application and use a diff phone # too
but if they find out then you're sorta screwed I think so..it's risky
If u didnt get past resume screening, u cud prob try a different acc
If u did a LC round, prob gotta wair
Wait
Is there a specific role newgrad software engineers are supposed to apply to on salesforce? Anyone got the link?
they dont hire new grads since they are mostly filled by returning interns
Ahhhhh, thank you. So should I just search roles that might be a nice fit?
Opinions: Amazon or OCI?
If I did not have an HR round right after my 2 onsite interviews for Bloomberg is it considered a reject?
Depends on what team imo
How long does it take to get the hr and hm round after 2 coding rounds for Bloomberg?
@elder kernel was same day for me
Okay, I haven't received anything since my coding interviews yesterday, so I prob get rejected.
Do we need Work Experience to apply for Devops roles?
@elder kernel would suggest waiting..it's Dec plus they are prob overloaded with interviews, etc
Solutions Engineer
Do we need Work Experience to apply for Devops roles?
anyone get a response from Bank of America Global Technology Analyst Full Time 2021?
Anyone heard of vertafore and have some insights about the company?
Anyone interviewed with Intuit for final round??
I have same question
OCI offers been looking pretty nice tbh
Amazon is famous on PIP corporate culture. Do we need to worry something similar in OCI?
I donāt believe so I think question becomes do you see yourself potentially hopping or wanting stability OCI probs more stable long term but probs better career growth at Amazon
thx
Anyone who's had an interview with apple for fte? Pls message! Had a couple of doubts and need your help!
Isn't there some difference between OCI and Oracle in general
I heard OCI in particular has a bit more internal competition compared to Oracle as a whole
I could be wrong tho
I mean would make sense OCI probs makes all their money
Does anyone know why Amazon would have better career growth than OCI?
Faster pace, more ownership. If you play the politics game well enough, you can get promoted in a year or 2.
That feeling when you did poorly on a LC easy
has anyone done the visa OA for new grad yet?
how long did it take you to get OA from them?
anyone get mastercard OA?
I applied on Nov 25 and got the OA yesterday
o thanks
Has anyone applied to full-time positions outside of the U.S.?
What's a good and recommended resource to learn data structs and algos?
Cracking the Coding Interview is a book that's brought up a lot
If you're looking for a shorter resource on typical patterns in technical interviews, you could try Grokking the Coding Interview
If a company asks for interview availability time immediately after you finish an OA what time period is too late?
Like 1 month after?
@subtle helm thanks. Do you know of a good online course that teaches DS and algos?
would suggest to schedule it at the earliest
because the headcount might not be there after
esp now that the hiring is gonna slow down with the holidays approaching. or you can have it early jan ig
No problem. Grokking the coding interview is basically an online course I think
Where are you guys looking for job postings besides LinkedIn and indeed?
Tell me if you need more
hey all, ive been applying to new grad jobs and have been having a really tough time landing interviews, etc. (probably like a lot of other people in this discord). i was wondering if anyone had advice on different strategies to applying to jobs and places that are still hiring (especially going into the spring). appreciate any advice / guide. thx
Exaggerate on ur resume as much as possible but within scope still if that makes sense. After that, just do blind 75 over and over again along with the top 30 lc for the respective company. That should be enough to pass any new grad interviews/oa
Thanks, my guy
Yea u got this bro
anyone got tips for amazon oa2 especially that 10-20 assessment after the coding part?
send ur resume to the resume channel. Get feedback. revise it. Also apply on LinkedIn. Set the posting date to 7 days
anyone given the OA hackerrank for IMC trading? what should I expect?
itās hard idr how many questions but they were all lc medium-hard
I'm planning to graduate in June 2021. I'm getting straight rejections for new grad positions. Is it too early or I have bad resume? appreciate any advice / guide. thx
Idk about your resume but it isnāt too early, recruiting for May/June 2021 grads started in July 2020 and will go till March/April 2021
I dont find many opportunities for a new grad. Even on the cscareers.dev github page too.
Thereās like 100+ here https://github.com/pittcsc/NewGrad-2021 and prob 100+ more in the 2021 grad postings channel
And that doesnāt even include your local companies
A lot of these places are done hiring for now though, I expect another wave in January
Thanks @unkempt echo . Yeah, Most of the job postings are expired in that link.
should I choose oci or aws
aws
aws
aws
Dw, you got this
There's time.
If you would like a resume review, feel free to dm
we echo whatever is posted in that repo š
thatās how the job postings work
wait i think oci whyās everyone saying aws
oci pays way more
and is more selective plus no pip
ah i see
Anyone know the process for twitter ng?
@devout bobcat phone screen + 3 onsite rounds
PIP is super overrated, it only happens if you perform below expectations
yeah well oci still pays like 40k more
anyone know what new grad offer comp is like for hybrid trader at belvedere?
ok aws was more selective in my experience
but yes OCI pays more
however, the brand name
also idk if the FAANG hype is worth it or not
i dont think I should be concerned with pay right now as a new grad
working at OCI is enough brand name to get interviews anywhere for your next job
you think so?
even if its not FAANG
I think its fine tbh but I just see all this shit on linkedin, blind, youtube, etc
like you dont seee people trying to sell courses on how to crack OCI
haha
one of my mentors is a senior PM at Youtube and he said that AWS is known for better code and such
idk what that even means bc he doesnt code hahaha
the oracle stock price is indeed increasing though
its TC 170ish in Austin... like ugh so hard to say no to
If you dont care about pay as a new grad, then I would definitely go with AWS over OCI
^^^^
ok
That moment when OCI resume rejects u
yea aws is just more established and still the leading cloud services providers by far
at the moment, could obviously change in the future.
Subtle flex
@twin belfry is 170k the first year TC (including sign on)?
Has anyone heard from Johnson & Johnson? I applied like two months ago and the apps are still pending. Like if you think I'm trash just say that. Don't leave me in suspense. š©
had a recruiter call from a start up and it was like
"tell me about yourself"
I tell them about myself
"ok! i'll pass on your info to the engineering team, oh by the way, I don't think we're looking for new grads right now, so I think there's likely no spots haha, anyways let me tell you more about our company for 15 minutes though cus I think it's pretty cool"
????? why even call me
lol so dumb I got an email that said "hey, thanks for applying to x position; we generally make postings like these to gauge interest, not necessarily because the position is open; we fill these on a rolling basis, after all; the position is now closed"
?XD
and at one point they were like "yeah, for example one of our new grads interned at robinhood for 3 months and is now joining us, so we're looking for that haha, so the engineering team will probably pass up on you, anyways let me tell you even more about how amazing the product is" ....????
lmfaoo that's so dumb
OCI people is the new grad compensation negotiable? Asking for a friend. I applied to a specific team so dont have any idea abt this
anyone in here a god? i need help pls
define god
lol bruh this is literally mt olympus, you are among gods
you a god?
no
kk
sry my b, you're better off posting in #programming_help and just ask, lotta helpful folks
Hi All, I have Akuna capital final coming up for C++ Junior developer fulltime role, anyone who interviewed for akuna please ping me.
Hacker ranks track tab usage I believe, so if you switch to a diff tab itāll know
it says what you're allowed to google and not
so googling syntax and official documentation is fine I think
but i would honestly just keep another device on the side to be safe
TBH I'm not expecting to hear back from companies at least until Jan
Has anyone interviewed with Pure Storage before?
hiring grinds down to a halt during this time, a lot of big companies have a fresh wave of openings/postings/hirings in spring
yea fairr
i graduated sep so i just hope the ones that come out in the spring wont be for like sep 2021
generally hiring for 2021 grads starts the summer before, in august, but even if you graduated
generally you can still apply to new grad roles up until a year after your graduation date
You are still a "new grad" 6-12 months after your graduation (depends on companies)
+1, this is usually the case and now with the vaccine it might be an even bigger wave
because a lot of companies missed out on recruiting in the fall
intern? i interviewed last year
No, this is for New Grad haha. What was your interview like?
oh iām in the 2021 grads channel lmaoo
my b
yea it was kinda weird. heavily focused on concurrency
and i didnāt have much concurrency exp/knowledge at the time
like during the interview expected me to know how to use concurrency for a made up coding problem
so not like leetcode style stuff
No worries
That's interesting. I've read some stuff online that has mentioned concurrency as well. It's strange they wouldn't ask leetcode haha
yea it went pretty bad from my side, i think the interviewer wanted to get more deeper into the concurrency problem but I didnāt have experience using locks back then so he had to end up explaining that to me during the interview
felt like i was in lecture tbh
but if you understand/have used concurrency and threads you should be fine
I had a follow up question for LRU cache about how to implement concurrency. Was for a faang company
Hmm I see. I'll make sure to study up on concurrency and threads! Thanks
did they expect you to code it up or just explain your thought process?
Thought process, luckily I learned about semaphore a few days before so I just explained that and he seemed impressed
slept through my semaphore section of OS class and yolo'd the question about it on the final
i should probably relearn it
seems like the bar only gets higher every year
Is Uber hiring New Grads this season?
na
Which companies do you guys expect will have hiring cycles in January?
stupid q but is oci pay for new grads higher than rest of the orgs at oracle or is it consistent?
heard FB/G might have spots
but likely to see reduced headcount :/
I applied for the NSA as a joke kinda not expecting to hear anything back
and i got a interview lol
lmaoo
is OCI still accepting apps, if so where?
i got into their co-op program but they rejected me because of a security clearance
i had traveled too much/went back to china and shit, so they couldnt get a clearance within like a few months lmao
if you've got an offer without any prior internship experience, which company gave you the offer?
im curious as to how important internships are
wondering the same thing tbh ^
A lot of the people I know got their initial internship at small local companies, myself included
^ same
thanks for the responses
Would appreciate if anyone can share Verizon media onsite experience.
bloomberg/roblox both gave me offers
Is this for new grad
Has anyone here ever done automation in industry?? A recruiter suggested I apply for an IT SWE position that seems like itās automation related. Any thoughts on that?
I have mobile app development experience and have liked that so far, so Iām not sure how I would feel about it.
(Also this is for an internship, but thought Iād ask on here since maybe some of you might have more experience)
You had research experience or something right?
Do they mean Devops?
Yeah, but itās not a 1:1 correlation with swe industry
Sure, but it's not the same as having no experience at all
I know someone who did research freshman summer and their first real internship was at amazon
Most of my experience was physics research, only had like one semester of cs research which was tbh more bs than anything
- amazon OA doesn't really discriminate between those who have experience and those who don't
it's just an rng factory
Hats off to people who come into cs from physics/math yall always killin it
Ohh I see, yea then it makes sense. I assumed you had CS research experience lol, my bad.
if i could ask, when did you have ur roblox final interview?
Nov 4
i see. and when did u recieve ur roblox offer email?
anyone know how to write a good renege email?
There is a template pinned in this channel
Nov 16
Did anyone here interview with quora
amazon being described as an rng factory is as accurate as it gets
ik ppl who got google/fb internship offers and didn't even get interview for amazon with perfect oa1 and oa2 lul
meanwhile they also give ppl 2sum in final interview
damn that's so whack @arctic drift
I mean doesn't really matter for me I wouldn't renege my offer for amazon but just did the oa for fun lmao ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
@arctic drift yea happened to me like 2 months ago too with perfect oa1 and oa2
That was the case me too lol, for the mass reject wave back in Sept
lots of people getting perfect oa1/2, at the time people thought they were just not accepting any may 2020 grads, but I guess they really wanna see those LPs during OA3
I really said that I'd sacrifice my WLB to finish a project and they still were like nope
i would sacrifice my life to finish a project
i breathe eat and sleep lps (and that means not sleeping at all)
yeah..it's honestly kind of annoying, cus you hear about some people not even doing that well on oa2 and they still get the single meme final round like ;/
wait is quora still hiring?
does anyone know if Citadel is done hiring new grads for 2021?
Well I have an interview so probs?
do you mind sharing your code signal score ? wondering if i should retake, confident i can get a 820-830 with the retake but if thatās not enough might as well submit my 787
I had a 845 or 846
Lol I already accepted another job
I just took the coding challenge for fun
Now idk how to tell them
Now that the interview is scheduled
damn whereād u accept ?
Hi [RECRUITER NAME],
Thank you for considering me for a role at [COMPANY]. I have received an offer from another company that I will be accepting, so I will not be moving forward in the interview process with [COMPANY] at this time.
I wish you the best of luck in your search.
Best,
[NAME]
Thanks a lot!!
did they ask for a general score? or did you have to take a proctored one?
Proctored
how is this the OA?
whats the best way to get a job in nyc if your located in the bay area, obviously applying online to those locations but any other tips lol?
New grad easy
shouldn't be different from a job located anywhere else
for what?
Your question
Is bloomberg at capacity for new grad SWE 2021?
is there a reason to think so?
in the cs majors server some people said so š¤·āāļø but idk thats why im asking lol
i very recently got a phone interview from Bloomberg (like 2 days ago), but not sure
yeah if theyre still giving phones i feel like they shouldnt be
i wish i would've seen this sooner rip, the recruiter was so mean to me after i reneged
expand your search out of FAANG/BigN
headcount in satellite offices are less so it's more likely you'd be placed in their headquarters (Bay Area/Seattle)
when an intern pushes code into production
rip tests
LMAOO
Nah this is called Test Driven Development
The only caveat is you need to test in production š
Another favorite of mine: Resume Driven Development
Admittedly I am guilty of it
resume driver dev and nih go hand in hand
and then you get the fanciest polished resume
and then you feel like an impostor š¦
oof that's unfortunate. What did the recruiter say?
i told them this was no longer the best opportunity for me anymore but made sure to thank them for everything! and she said āi donāt understand why you were pursuing other opportunities or how you even got other offers in the first place. do you know what it means when you accept an offer?? i hope u donāt make a habit of this in the futureā and said bye and hung up without even letting me say anything, and v condescending tone :(
Yeah lol, that's why I avoid reneging lol. It's hard to deal with that mess (emotionally)
Damn that's rough
Yea I mean I think this server over-normalizes reneging lol
It's still very taboo, though yea you gotta look out for yourself
Yeah I agree... reneging does affect the company tbf
Comes to ethics at the root of it
lmfao thats a crazy response
wtf
so bitchy
right!!
thats insane im sorry you went through that
and when they first gave me the offer, i asked for an extension bc they gave me a whopping 2 day deadline, and she GRILLED me with questions asking why i needed an extension
do they not understand that this is a critical moment in our careers
sounds like your hiring manager just sucks tbh
what company was this?
rapid7 š¬
small company i tink so i guess its ok
my friend reneged amazon š¬ i feel like thats worse
very bold move to give candidates a tongue lashing about the ethics of reneging while at the same time giving an exploding offer
recruiters be wylin
hahahha
dude thats purely her fault
so cringe
Yea "do you know what it means to accept an offer" is such an absurd question. Employment is at-will, that's what it means š
@foggy ravine what happened
Honestly if a recruiter says that kind of stuff to someone who doesn't even work there yet, just imagine what the company culture is like.
Probably dodged a bullet by reneging
bro she emailed me saying she wanted to call me to see if we could work something out, i thought like she meant offer more money or something, instead she just yelled at me :)
what happened about what?
lol sucker punched
I'm trying to figure out what u guys are talking about because im also in a negotiation situation xd
Just kinda want to know what happened
ooo i reneged a company and the recruiter was ruuude
Oof
Lol did the recruiter expect they could bully you into not reneging or smth
in the future should record renege calls tbh
well when i reneged i said i couldn't work there anymore due to personal reasons, so i feel like she just called me to confirm that its bc i took another offer lol
Recruiters get paid depending on how many they hire right. So she prob salty u didnt accept
record it and send it to someone that works at the ocmpany
and then when i called i said its no longer the best opportunity anymore and i was hoping she would say "lets try to work something out" but she lied
The process should be simple
- renege through email, give the vaguest reasons you can; apologize
- don't accept a phone
- leave ethics out of this; they are in a position of more power than you, take the liberties you want
lol they'd drop your ass in an instant if their financials came under fire
- accept the blacklisting, it is what it is
ye i mean i knew i would be blacklisted, but she aint have to be so rude
for sure, you did nothing wrong (in terms of prioritizing your career), they were just assholes
reneging is never something great to do but like
just read your message about why they wanted to talk, they misled you
What company is this
rapid7
you should look out for yourself over a company
yeah i'm in a situation right now where if I get a better offer I'd renege even though the hiring manager was really cool to me, even sent me a happy holiday email etc. but what are you gonna do, it's your CAREER
egggsactly
wow so they lose one intern, big whooooooooooop such a waste, the team will surely fall behind
Yea, I'm in a spot where I just want to negotiate to gain experience negotiating
But i dont really have other offers lol, so idk how to go about doing it
oh shoot i'm in grad channel, intern or fulltime, the point stands
you're one cog in the machine
So, any tips on negotiating when u dont have other offers
uhhh do u have any other experiences or projects or something on ur resume that stands out that u can leverage
š¤ any examples? I don't think I do
tell em u have interviews coming up
like if u interned at a rly good company, or had a rly cool side project like an app/website that garnered a lot of attn
and ull cancel all of them if they add extra sign on bonus
like why do u think u deserve a raise basically
Do I just throw a number at them then
They already told me the offer details in terms of compensation
Maybe look around and see what is being offered.
u just gotta be like "i deserve x salary bc i have xyz skills/experience, ppl with those skills are paid x so i deserve to be compensated fairly as well." something like that?? so that its not just a random number lul
Thanks!
or maybe word it nicer LOL
Lmao yes
Oh yea, I recently started a yt channel on tech. If u guys want to check it out, its linked on my discord profile xd
Does reneging at MSFT for new grad blacklist? Can't find a clear answer.
probably. I feel like if you renege, it's safe to assume that you are blacklisted.
Dang, I didjt know companies blacklist u for negotiating
reneging is different from negotiating lol
O, whats reneg
when u accept an offer, but then u decline it after
Ooo
if that makes sense lol
renege
renege is renege lmao
LOL
Dang
It's an uncommon word I feel
^
I think it's only in cscareer channels xd
But like are companies really going to mark down that I reneged like 4 years later? Especially one as big as MS?
idk
my manager from qualtrics who was part of hiring ddin't even blacklist in the year that they do renege
though I think it's company to company
you should probably be fine imo though don't expect to go back for 2 or more years at least tho
Considering doing it for a Unicorn that I like and that gave me a great offer
from business perspective reneging will hurt companies where losing a hire will cost them a measurable amount of money
Reneging wonāt hurt microsoft and so they probably wonāt be that mad at you
Lol microsoft be giving out lowball offers
150k tc?
feelsbadman 150k tc is bad now
Lol mb didnt mean to come off that way
lmaoo ikr... people do be looking down at anything under 200 nowadays
it smell like broke in here
lol is this new this year?
I thought their new grad always around 150k first year
if no return intern
shit i thought 140 recurring was standard new grad but maybe thatās only return intern
ik 3 ppl that are 110+120/4 recurring. is external hire rly 125?
Anyone done with Bloomberg final round for SWE position, how many rounds in one day? other than coding rounds what about other rounds?
msft new grad isn't even "bad" compared to other top paying tech companies, it's just that the levels after new grad they really start paying less than other places for midlevel/senior eng
Lol
How do u value stock options that come in quantities instead of value
Like for companies that arent public
It's basically like paper money until they IPO
Yikes
MSFT new grad is competitive especially when you consider col in Seattle vs bay
No state income tax in WA
rip it's still there
Tbf FB offers the same TC in both Bay and Seattle
Even Amazon offers 160k in Seattle
Guys, anyone know which US companies sponsor visas for new grads?
Anyone interviewed for the Visa new grad Software Engineer role on the data platform team?
after phone screen itās 2 rounds in a day, then an HR round, and then a round with a hiring manager/senior engineer (possibly more LC, but Iāve heard of some getting asked system design)
@mystic mica Thanks . Do you have any leads about the resources for System Design?
Iāve never gone through the onsites before, this is just what I know from friends who have gone through it + Glassdoor + people here saying what the process is. Idk what the system design questions would be like
@mystic mica Okay. Thanks for the response.
anyone heard back from pure storage or Cruise for new grad SWE ?
Wow. I just saw that someone got a 380k offer from Apple in the salary sharing channel. It said it was swe II (so idk if they were a new grad). The base was 170k and rsus were 575/4.
They were not a new grad
Would it be possible for a new grad to get swe II or is that usually 3-6 yoe?
The latter
That was a negotiated offer with Citadel if I remember correctly as well
Okay. So at faang, typical new grad is like ~170k and 5yoe is like 350k? Those are the typical numbers?
Would that be a reasonable expectation?
What do citadel swes with 5yoe make? I heard that new grad is usually like 200-300k (excluding the extremely large signing bonus). Does swe compensation grow fast there(
I think the guy was more like 2-3 years experience and Citadel bonus incentivized heavy but probs could be around 400 if everything went good that year
He was coming from 2 years at Lyft
Do you guys know if Google started recruiting for 2021 security roles ?
Any tips for networking? I have been getting only rejects with online applications. How do you guys usually end up with an interview?
Have you tried cold emailing @worthy spear
No. Where do you get the recruiter's email from? LinkedIn?
You can, sometimes if you go to open hours events recruiters also provide email
you can try pming people in this server too, Ik I've shared and other people here have shared me recruiter emails
you can use a chrome extension which gives you the recruiter's email address based on their linkedin
how nice are the LC company-wise mocks?
being an F1 international student at this time, what is best to answer for 'do you now or in the future require visa sponsorship for this job in the USA'? yes/no? so confused about what to answer there bc i know i have already received plenty of rejections simply based on that answer even though i am qualified for the role :X
you should say yes to that q
Say yes and rejected early VS say no and rejected later
also, is it okay to apply to 2 positions at the same company?
I have seen some companies limiting the number of applications from a person (usually 2-3), but if not, I think 2 is totally fine
Thank you! š
When a company says something is non-negotiable, is that always the case?
I have a company telling me equity is non-negotiable but should I still go for it?
Well, you can try. They'll probably just say it's not negotiable if that's really the case.
Itās worth an ask but if they turn you down just donāt push it
whats the reputation of your schools internship program
is it a guarentee and what type of companies also are you currently applying
risk getting offer rescinded if its a small company
negotiating when they straight up said its non negotiable gets u on their bad side asap
i graduated late to get an internship, i think it was worth tbh, getting interviews has been a lot easier
or you could do an impressive side project
I think it depends if you have prev experience or not and how spring recruiting works out. It might get better so you might not have to delay if you just want any full time job
I guess it depends how long you have until you have to let your school know youāre delaying
How do I tell my recruiter I have an offer deadline? Is there a template I can use ?
So you can just say you want more time to think about it because you are considering other offers and they won't be salty or anything
Anyone here applied to Tiktok new grad positions after 19th November and got their assessments?
Has anyone recently interviewed with Microsoft for Full-Time SWE pos? I have my final round in 3 weeks and would love to get some info
Dm me
anyone hear back from confluent after applying to them?
Anyone interviewed for Verily Life Sciences here?
Would highly appreciate any kind of tips.
U better get grinding then
any tips for amazon oa3, itās mostly just matching the situation with the right lp?
What's the best way to ask recruiter for a different location? She indirectly hinted it would not be possible but I would still like to try.
This is about Walmart. I got offer for Dallas, TX location. My preferred location in Sunnyvale or Seattle
just ask
Yes
What's the fastest you have heard back after an onsite?
Same day
are companies still having onsites nowadays tho
because of the timezone mixup, they hired me before the onsite
I had an on-site today lol
Guys..just heard back. Phew. Was feeling restless hence the message on this discord š
Has anyone done a SDET amazon interview? New grad. Not sure how this differs from typical SDE roles
What was the news š
@digital carbon Offer!! š
Yo nice
š
Jeez man you're drowning in offers
Leave some for the rest of us :P
@digital carbon yeah..the patience and hardwork finally paid off! š
Congrats, you deserve it š
Congratulations @atomic badge
Congrats @atomic badge!
how long have u been grindin
congrats btw!
@spiral bramble grinding since a while. Just doing a problem or two a day. LC count: 201 (68 Easy, 120 Medium, 13 Hard)
inspirational
@atomic badge ayy congrats!
2021 will be my year š
It will be š
Which company?
@elder kernel Apple
Wow
@atomic badge do u know where ur headed
@cursive oasis not sure..waiting for Apple deets
any idea how much Goldman pays for devsecoperation profile ?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but, I recently accepted a full-time offer that begins in June. I was given the opportunity to start early (co-op) in January so I can get a better understanding for the code and the company. Any tips on how I could make the most out of this?
Depends what youāre doing from now until June. Do you wanna spend the extra few months onboarding and ramping up now or later basically.
I personally might wait until June as I would like to have more downtime for other things in life.
I was planning on doing like 10-20 hours/week while taking some easy classes. I thought it'd be a good idea to get more experience
More experience for a new job? I mean youāll be getting the same experience anyway in June
Personally Iād just chill, you have the rest of your life to work
Lol just get the earliest start date
Cant do anything rn with downtime
I'm bored af cus of covid and moved up my date
Yea thatās literally what Iām thinking. If there wasnāt a pandemic, I would 100% rather spend my senior year in the bars but since I canāt I might have a well start earlier. Right? Haha
Facts
P much what I am doing too, was planning on having a fun last year and then a 6 month grad trip
But now I just graduated this term instead and will start working in feb
Well, to give you another viewpoint, I recently signed an offer for June (and I had an option to do January). Recruiter suggested January because "oh you'll be making income immediately" but, that wasn't an issue for me, and I personally would like having these extra few months to chill. You're not gonna have another chance to coast and chill for 3-4 months for a while.
It's true that you can't really go anywhere or do anything substantial cus of covid but, there are ways to relax at home. I personally was pretty tired from from all the additional recruiting I had to do after graduating, if you ask me, doing a co-op your last semester and then working right away would burn me tf out.
but to each their own ig
Does anyone know anything about working at Deloitte as an analyst?
Anyone have any idea abt the range of Apple for new grads? On levels.fyi, there's ICT-2 and ICT-3. Which one is usually for new grads? And does Apple match/beat competing offers?
@mystic mica thatās true, I didnāt think about how it could burn me out. Itās not like Iām doing this co-op for the money. Idk if itās too late though cause I already agreed with the recruiter that Iād work up to 20 hours a week
On the other hand, it feels odd having to wait 6 months to work at a place. I told them I wanted a month of free time between coop and full time and they gave me that
If youāre okay with only a month sure. But otherwise thereās nothing too weird about waiting 6 months imo..
That reservoir position is pretty cool. Donāt see too many compiler positions for new grad
That's a pretty broad question. What specifically about ML/Data Science?
It depends on what you are interested in. If you are interested in theory, then you need to take theory classes in math/stats/cs. If you are interested in application, then doing kaggle (https://www.kaggle.com/) competitions is a good start
yeah to follow up on that question what exactly do ML SWEs work on...I feel like in most companies its not actually writing algos but ofc i could be wrong
MLEs usually create data pipelines to train the models and then productionize models (i.e. figure out how to integrate the model into the company's software)
^ research is done by PhDs
At least that's the sense I get
Yes research is very different
I see MLE as just another specialization of SWE
Depends on the ML job. For MLE, not so much, as typically they are geared towards Master's students. For ML Research, absolutely, you need a PhD
Well again, it depends on what you want to do. If you are interested in theory (and therefore PhD), online courses won't cut it. Your best bet is to take math/stats/cs courses at a University. If you are interested in application and just building ML tools, then the best way to learn is to actually just build them and learn along the way. Kaggle competitions are great for this.
yeah thats what i figured i just feel like the comp tends to be significantly higher or at least grow faster for MLEs so i was curious how math heavy it is
^ dont know that im interested enough tho just for the comp potential
Whatās the longest you guys have had to wait to get an offer after final round of interview?
Lol trust me, 3 months of downtime sounds super chill. But after ur first two weeks in, ur gonna just feel like ur wasting time. It doesnt even feel relaxing at that pt.
3 months no school no work? I'd go insane
Especially in quarantine lol
Well covid times* i aint gonna lie I haven't been quarantining
Lol ya, also I've waited 2 months for an offer
its only been one month and im getting there dude
higher comp is likely because there are very few people who are solid SWEs and also understand enough about ML to do the work correctly
back to good old supply and demand lol
haha i feel ya
Another question, i have a 2.967 gpa lol would it be considered lying if i put a 3.0 on my resume
yeah no im not surprised at all it is always s and d haha was just curious
no
gpas are dumb anyway
I'd say do it
feels close enough
sounds good
Does anyone know if amazon still has a new grad waitlist
I believed they completely cleared it out and gave ppl offers so as of rn no
ok ty
is fb still hiring new grads?
seems like they didn't hire any this year except for return interns
does anyone know if squarespace is hiring new grads still?
was squarespace hiring new grads? i didnt see anything eariler
Should I be negotiating before the official offer arrives or after?
Also, is it normal for a recruiter to give me a deadline for acceptance before my offer letter arrives
How do you negotiate an offer without the official numbers in hand
Like you have to accept before getting the formal offer letter? Or they told you over the phone before getting the offer letter
Recruiter gave me the details of the offer verbally
Told me over the phone if end of year is enough time
Oh itās prob flexible then
Yeah I usually get an informal deadline before the offer letter
O i see
And no donāt negotiate until you get the letter
Can u explain why tho
Just curious
np
Guys, how do you convert salary in Seattle to Cali? What's the per cent increase?
Add 10K to Seattle comp
not sure if this helps, feel free to check it out: https://www.nerdwallet.com/cost-of-living-calculator
@mental frigate that'll be still less right? cause seattle has no taxes and cali has 10% taxes?
Also depends where u live in Cali
yeah..but cali has like 10% state income tax right?
Or is it 9%? yeah..somewhere in that range
itās closer to 7%
Is this accurate:? https://smartasset.com/taxes/paycheck-calculator
@atomic badge I've found this one to be more accurate
Thanks!
Mans said cali like itās a city
Lol I didn't even notice that
I usually just assume bay area if someone says cali with no specifier
Does any know what compensation to expect for Irving, Dallas? There seems to be very little information outside on this.
Yeah..I meant Bay Area š
is datadog hiring new grads?
Expect something between 80k-90k for sde new grad
Anyone that did the HRT coding challenge, how long did it take to hear back?
70k - 90k, you'd be very lucky to break 6 figs as a new grad there, but the cost of living is not bad
Anyone here with a new grad offer from Apple?
just under a month for me. I got a 92% on the codility and they asked to schedule a phone
For intern something else.
has anyone done the virtual onsite for Clever???
Are coding interviews for new grads similar to intern coding interviews? Or are they more difficult?
imo harder but bc thereās more interviews and thus potentially more difficult topics
topics aren't all that different, although interns probably won't get asked DP (i hope)
but new grad interviews are just more rounds, so they're effectively more difficult
Anyone else have their amazon portal change
wait how do you see your grade what
I clicked the test link from the original email
when did u apply? the mofos never got back to me
Hey guys, needed a suggestion:
I gave my final round at a company (8th Dec) and waiting to hear back from them.
Do I expect them to respond during the holiday season(maybe upto 4th Jan ) or these companies don't respond during the holiday season?
got an 87, idk if that'll be good enough hmm
Thank you!
I have had DP question a couple times in my coding interviews and thanks your response.
oh rip lol
Theyāll probably get back to you after the 4th now
@cunning needle Same thing happened to me
Has anyone here gone through the entire TikTok process for new grad? Is it OA+3 technicals then offer? Or is it OA+3 technicals + hiring manager then offer?
Oa 3 technical offer
I have a recruiter email from a friend that said OA -> 2 technicals -> 1 behavioral -> offer.
But most new grads seem to be doing OA -> 3 technicals -> offer.
I graduated May 2020 (out of the eligible period for the new grad roles I applied for), so they're having me do 3 technicals -> hiring manager (possibly another technical/system design) -> offer
anybody know if 2 sigma still recruiting? I had a location form a month ago and nothing since
@mystic mica @old trail My initial email said 3 technical interviews, but my recruiter said that the offer will only be given after Team Matching. So I got a bit confused
Thatās correct, I donāt believe the team matching is extra interviews though
Anyone interviewing with bytedance Singapore?
I had OA -> 2 technicals -> supposedly behavioral (no coderpad link in invitation) with an engineer manager and he gave sent me a coderpad link for a smaller question. third interview was a lot more behavioral. Just got note that theyāll be extending an offer next week!
I have a interview w recruiter which iām assuming will be team matching
Hey guys! Are you looking to work on a project to add on to your resume? Me and a few folks are working on a project with a vision to streamline students' job search. Please email me on rahul.kej@outlook.com if you're interested!
Hi guys .. do you think going hard on negotiations could lead to an offer rescind? (I feel like I have been offered way below other new grad offers)
Also, how many times of going back and forth would not seem too pushy?
^^^
There's no magic number of times before it gets pushy, you have to read the room and figure out if your demands are irking the recruiter. Sometimes you have to push a little harder to get what you deserve, but you need to understand how much leverage you have and how much you can use that leverage to negotiate.
The specific point at which it becomes pushy depends entirely on the situation and your relationship with the recruiter
Yeah, that makes sense. It would be very specific to me. What do you think of a rescind possibility?
I think it's pretty unlikely unless you make unreasonable demands
If you're talking about Microsoft, they don't seem like the type of company to rescind over negotiation. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, this is about Msft š .
Also, how do you guys generally negotiate? Over phone or email. I feel like talking over email is best for me but every suggestion out there suggests not to
This article has some good rules of thumb: https://haseebq.com/my-ten-rules-for-negotiating-a-job-offer/
if you're not comfortable negotiating over the phone, do it over email
Wow .. this article seems to be pretty detailed. Thank you.
msft hella lowballs
how low are lowballs
the offers you might be seeing are prolly return intern offers which are higher. unless you have a competing offer i don't think theyll budge
@marble pond Wdym
If u intern at a company
and u come back
they pay u more?
than someone who just
applies direct for that position?
yeah, usually they give you the upper end of the stock options like msft would be 120k stock over 4 years
I see
and people who go through new grad process may not get that stock off the bat/might need competing offers
Right ofc
Has someone attended the tiktok interview for the data analyst role?
Has anyone interviewed for Intel ?
Wait what. I literally got a tenth of that for my offer in Europe. :((
wdym?
which office? š®
Czechia ;c I tried having the offer moved to a different location but nope lol
Hey! What's the new grad offer like for Google and FB?
I know it was 120k base/100k stocks/15k signing for Google. (Bay)
Which is only like 145k! However peeps here look down on anything under 200k. So, I'm curious about the median offer
we definitely dont endorse for that behavior
The fuck^^?? Iād only take an offer below 200k if it was a part time job lmfao
if you're not doing LC DP HARD and getting $800k TC from Jane Street you should consider alternative careers
real talk, G hasn't done any external new grad hiring this year so I don't think people here can give you their offer details. You can check levels.fyi though, that might help
#new_grad_salary_sharing Search for Google and FB LOL
Oh well FB
118k base, some stock, some bonus
Roblox and Bloomberg seem to have high new grad TC
isn't over 200k really rare?
by high i mean 200K+
new grad 200k? I haven't heard of that
I was given verbal offer of 200k for SSE recently
Excluding the signon bonus, I doubt they'd ever go that high even if you had like citadel or Jane street offers
assuming you didnt take it...did you go somewhere else instead?
they said they wanted me to meet a few teams and pick one before giving me a written offer, we only briefly talked about compensation so the numbers may change
how many years of exp do you have?
1.5 professional at a large bank, 1.5 intern/part time work throughout university
so youre likely to take Bb?
1.5 for sse is good i feel like
think they said its usually 3
I finished onsite with apple but they wanted me to wait a month before a decision, going to tell em to hurry it up and decide between the two
leaning towards bb regardless of apple offer or not, hoping to use to negotiate bb to 230kish
oh neat...how much did you prep/how did you balance that working ft
Lots of people do it in 2 years actually, pretty doable if you hustle and make a good case for yourself. The title doesn't mean a whole lot because of that lol.
~3 months of 2hr a workday and 4hr a weekend day studying
yeah its more just 200k+ comp i feel like
if that
seems more like swe 2
I had a weird final onsite with 9 interviewers (4 tech rounds + 1 hr) which seems uncommon
mad hustling, was work just not that taxing or was this a pretty tough grind?
I think the reason was because multiple teams wanted me, so they're having me decide between them in another meeting š¤·āāļø
oh yeah sse is for a specific team
bb interview was on the easy side compared to amazon/apple/palantir
I actually barely studied for bb but the interview experience felt more personal and caring
whats sse?
senior
ah i c
You mean 2 interviewers per tech round? Yea BB does it that way for hiring at all levels, I guess it is uncommon though
yeah felt like they cared more about personality and such in my experience....no offer from Amazon or Palantir?
i only ever had one at a time in my techs
yep, 2 interviewers per round and 4 rounds of tech interviews
amazon reject and palantir ghost
Sorry, it used to be the case when interviews were in person
gotcha
honestly amazon sends like hell
I have microsoft onsite soon, but will probably cancel it
the TC at msft can't compete with bb
what if you get way upleveled?
bb?
bloomberg
Palantir as well lol
yeah true i just hear about it less haha
Tru
msft wants to give me 62/63, which is like ~180-190k tops
if you ever go on blind(which theres zero benefit to doing so) you just see amazon employees self-depricating left and right
they wouldnt match Bb if you told them?
That money would go a lot further in Seattle though because of no income tax
I think thats a bit of a misconception
all my interviews are for NYC
Oh nvm then lol
you def get more takehome....but idk that COL acutally adjusts
if you know what i mean
Makes sense
no personal experience tho so grain of salt
I personally didn't like the recruiter at msft so main reason why I'm leaning bb regardless on offers from other companies
just kinda want another offer to negotatite bb into extra $20k + signing bonus
i think manhattan is more expensive than seattle for sure but queens is mad close to bb office if you wanna save money
NYC rent is really cheap atm, good 1b1bs are going for ~$1,300
How was it like to study that much everyday
I just know someone that tried to negotiate between a seattle and apple offer and the recruiter said col difference is much less than 15%
A walk up with no laundry?
Probably no AC
Maybe even no water
rlly hoping it stays that way until july when i sign a lease haha itll go up at least a little tho
tbh, after 1yr of working you kinda auto-pilot and work becomes easy - adding 2hrs of LC a day isn't that bad
I'm only 24 so no kids/wife, quarantine got nothing to do lol
haha 2br for 3k look legit tbh
Ahh
2br 1 Latrine
I pay $1300 for a room in a 4b2b in seattle
haha go on streeteasy
check out the apts in manhattan atm, they are giving out so many deals b/c of covid
Feels bad
Yea itās normal
youre paying for convenience and an experience
the 4-5% city tax is what you should worry about lol
worth it
i thought it was more like 3.7
depends on salary I believe
tru
@west skiff how much do you think rent will go up when it gets warm?
obvi more dependent on vaccine success
but i feel like demand goes up in the summer regardless
not by much, from what I hear most companies are considering WFH/remote more so commercial rent is going down the drain
and commercial real estate is being turned into residential, I would assume the rent prices will be near this level for next 1-2years
funny thing about bb is I was actually rejected for the new grad SWE 2021 after phone screen
š¤
oh interesting i didnt know that
how long ago?
early october, then recruiter reached out in nov for sse
Do most people start at L2 or l3 at google?
3
Thank you!
I donāt think any swe roles are at l2
duno if its 2 but theres eng residency and its below l3
that basically turns to l3 if they convert successfully though right
yea
pretty much everyone converts from what ive heard, if they dont its because they didnt want to
so if you really wanna work at google thats kinda the play
Ahh ok. Do you (or anyone else) know if they will give you the option to interview for engineering residency if you do good, but not as good as they like, on the regular new grad SWE interview? I've heard that this has happened but wasn't sure if it was true.
idk if they 'give you the option' but ik someone who applied to L3 and got rerouted at some point in the process
then got engres and then converted a year later
yeah thats how google does it in general, theyll just route you to interviews they think you fit
if they look at your resume
You really think so? Iām loving these prices i see on StreetEasy, would be awesome if it stayed that way by summer
yeah its dumb hype actually(the current prices)
a ton of NYC apartments are empty, and even more office spaces are empty - NYC rental market got a reality check lol
the actual value of the apt/houses stayed the same tho, most of the US house prices skyrocketed
^^^^^^^
a lot of landlords are doing free rent for a month or two
which lowers your average rent for your contract
Any new companies sending OA lately?
Anyone know the lowest score needed to move to qa2 for Amazon SDE new grad?
Got a 3/7 rip
Really?
do companies let u do contract work instead of ft?
@digital carbon Cause last year I got 2/7 and didnāt make to next round
But apparently this year everyone is moving ahead
So I was just wondering
Nvm just got part 2 rn LMAOOO
Yea that's what I thought
Nice haha
Anyone received a connection email from Viasat?
has anyone interviewed with hive?
The AI company?
yeah
I saw someone move on with a 2/7 but someone said they got a 1/7 and didnāt get OA2
Oh really?? @mystic mica
Yeah but itās just anecdotal so I wouldnāt really bet too much on it
Hmm that means they expect u to get at least one correct then
The debugging questions this year were def harder than prior yearsā
Oh dw I got the QA 2 an hour after my AQ 1
Oh yeah for sure
But I got past QA 1 so I'll focus on the next one now
I heard not everybody gets amazon OA 3
I did first round with hive last wednesday, havenāt heard back but prob bc holidays
Grad that got a job. What will you do with your first salary? (Outside rent, loan and similar expenses)
is this what 2sig is doing š¤
shit i am one mind track
Yee even getting QA 2
Some people fail at QA 1
I didnāt interview but I talked to a recruiter and they sent me their google form coding challenge? Except they didnāt? Idk it was weird and the recruiter always took a long time to get back to me so I stopped recruiting with them
They have given a wide range of dates from May to September to choose from!
huh interesting, i never got a coding challenge. i just had a recruiter call after applying and then got an interview scheduled for a week later
Wait, you asked for Fall grads. For Spring grads, you can join from March 1st š
Anyone had an OA for TikTok recently and don't mind helping me figure out what kind of questions to expect? š
expect 1 easy and 3x LC hard
Everytime I'm here looks like everyone have had some kind of interviews. As a June 21 grad, I'm getting no response post OAs, not even rejects.
How are you doing on the OAs?
Other than a few off ones, I get all test cases but without any feedback I'm not sure what else to go on
Ooof, I was under the impression 95% companies move you to next round if you get 100% on the OA
Hopefully picks up again after the break
Good luck!
@willow glacier im in basically the exact same position as you - graduated in June, do well on OAs, and then get ghosted. I suspect it might be that they send out the OAs before resume screen, and we just don't make it past the resume screen
lmao I also hear back more often from trading firms than tech firms
Did anyone interview with Cisco for Software Engineering Master's role recently?
For amazon, I'm on "under consideration" for nearly 7 weeks after I finished OA3, should I reach out to a recruiter or just assume i failed there? I couldn't do the 2nd question of OA2 :/
Yeah, even I wanna know what Cisco's asking now
And does everyone have a behavioral and technical? I'm not sure how it works.
Whats with people and their usernames including the prefix āfarmerā?
@rocky zinc @true dagger @tired bay @wind bloom @red gorge
weird cult, kinda like scientology
Wait u moved to QA 3 even after not doing the 2nd question from QA 2?
you have to really bomb one of them to not get the next one
someone mentioned they got 2/7 on oa1 and moved on
Damn it's like they lowered their hiring bar
Lmaoooo
to the contrary
they seem to be placing a lot of weight on oa3
What's QA 3?
I got 4/7 OA1 and all cases passing OA2, and after OA3 I got the L
OA3 is a work simulation and then a personality test thing (they say the personality quiz doesn't count for anything but yeah it does lmao)
Oh so they put more emphasis on the work simulation than the coding challenge(QA 2)?
some people did worse than I did on OA1, worse than I did on OA2, and got the meme single final round
looooooool
so i've concluded getting into amazon is rng
