im not flexing
boba scripting
i think im consistently above the bar
idk why i got rejected by cap1 redfin zillow
ok real talk
incomprehensible
this is what better looks like people. hes just better
yield protect
we have women in this discord
^
@thick ridge i do better with companies that have high bars
because no one else passes
OA
imagine passing an OA
bro a โบ๏ธ means nothing relax
damn so it's all about the oa huh
LOL
i gotta learn mandarin so i can pass oa's
it would take me too long to list them all out
okay dude
mans is definitely going to juan street
yes they do?
yep
my roommate got reverse an array on an OA
why do I never get those questions
My Goldman oa was hard
wth is a brogrammer
Havenโt passed a single OA gang wya
Either way I would have move not forward due to grad date
as far as ive seen yeah thats what bb does
airbnb too
and c1 sticks to their c1 tagged questions
671 lol
bro 671?
bruh my score is near yours and they didn't move me forward
get me tf out
D
Bloomberg rejected me
@abstract wagon here comes all the chads ready to rail us for being dog ass at OAs man
how easy is C1
hes talking about general common assessment
was it asana specific
i thought i was hard
or the general codesignal
Guys wtf is c1
ez.
@abstract wagon u said be honest
capital 1
Capital one
capital one
It is definitely harder than interviews for most banks
Ahh ty Iโm noob
correlation one
c1 is ez bc they literally only ask questions off of lc tagged and there's like 20 total
I remember stressing over c1 lol
too bad i didn't know this last year lol
capital one isn't hard. they just seem really rng with who they take
Np perhaps we should have an abbreviations comment pinned somewhere
peepo did u get c1
no
i remember solving pretty much every question and i did good in all the rounds and i got rejection. oh well though
What is Blackrock interview process besides oa?
How 7 bypass OA
lmao they was mad asf at you
Are black rock interview questions easy?
i remember reading that email
Is it lc easy/medium
yeah i got fucked on that one. he didn't even let me solve it though. he was like "lets just move on" right as i was about to tell him my other solution i had in mind
to this day that was the worst technical interviewer ive ever had
dw i had a really shit technical interviewer at c1 too
bruh mine hadn't even been there long. like two years out of college.
my first interviewer with c1 was sooo cool though. we both talked about how we got into programming by hacking video games
told my tableau interviewer i hadn't taken algorithms yet and she was like "good to know"
ay same
passed all test cases but it wasn't the solution she was looking for
yea
๐ณ
hi bread ๐
hiya
i got banned from xbox when i gave my profile like 250k gamerscore. sad times
nah, if i remember correctly i was supposed to do something with binary search and something else. my solution was o(n) when it could've been o(logn)
so some sorted array
think it was finding the numbers between a set range with a given lower and upper bound
so dumb how you can miss out on a good internship and good pay because you were slightly less optimal
yeah. was told by some people in the server that is common to get tripped up on
tableau ๐ป
it would've been in seattle and i didn't really want to go there so that kind of works out tbh. honestly jpmc is a good fit for me.
i like the idea of jp morgan but i dont like the idea of dressing business casual every day
nah but it is in Dallas. Dallas is just four hours from my home so i would be able to visit from there pretty easily
i wanted to find some place i could go full time where i wouldn't be across the entire nation from family. and jpmc fits that really well. plus i would get to do full stack dev and i really wanted to live in texas anyway
do other companies not have business casual as the normal dress code every day? im assuming tech companies are not like that?
tech u can wear a hoodie to work
ooo there are a ton of companies in dallas nowadays
citibank too
c1 is in the area
grinding LC hoping i get twitter in Feb ๐ฅบ
im also hoping i could somehow sneak into cloudflare when new grad season starts again
fr?
its just a diversity thing and they say that those part of the program will have interviews for different departments in twitter. this includes engineering
#FirstFlight I believe is what it is called
give me internship
Is the bar for sre/DevOps lower?
@thorny gorge.give(internship);
i think it depends on the company. some companies, SRE goes through the same interview process as SWE
like Atlassian or Google for example
idk i guess it depends on your definition of easy
like ive had SRE interviews that were more focused on operating systems and networking concepts
so not strictly leetcode
but not trivial either
I would like to try SRE jobs
Seems cool outside of being on call
not everything is ez
What is a task of SRE
i just think most interviews are very doable
Give me a HRT interview or FB
i wish i could
sell interviews
Social network where you refer people but without the LinkedIn cringe
u mean blind
Not anonymous
Put your bank account on your bio
Wait no need to do that, just say that you refer people but never do it. Free money
liar
blind is cringe and so is linkedin
i wish i could post on blind
/ dm people
wdym student org email
yeah thats what I want it for
i gotta figure out how to get a verified blind acct
I guess you gotta wait till you get a work email from internship
I wanna see the poll results lol
Sry who r u?
a wise man who knows u werent playing league ๐
hi quick question, does flexport OA have front end, or is it just backend and algorithmic problems
Does anyone know anything about BNP Paribas at all?
@fresh blaze backend and algorithms
actually a little bit of UI theory
but mostly backend and algorithms
ok joe
company // where it get revenue // how it benefits society
Google // ads // doesnt?
Apple // child labor, overpriced products // doesnt?
Microsoft // child labor, created a monopoly //gives %1 of earnings away for good press
Jane Street, HRT, 5 rings etc. //stock market |//gives %1 of earnings away for good press
Facebook // ads, addicting users // doesnt?
what's new here
big tech is like the company version of douchebags lol
idk just thinking about the purpose of my life
and realizing im not doing any good or going to be for what looks like a while
yea :/
i dont want to work in swe
im 90% sure i want to do security research at Facebook, Apple, or Google
project zero would be cool
i think ppl often forget what social good these large tech companies do
imagine society without internet lol
the internet was fine before big corporations
the good does not absolve the bad
and the internet was created by the govt/military afair
and to spread info between researchers
but what good is there
maybe ask some ppl who grew up without internet
imagine living daily life without the conveniences of google
duckduckgo exists
imagine google search being locked behind a paid subscription
if duckduckgo were as big as google it would also have its bads
but there are so many other search engines that are free and dont collect data
so google doesnt do much good
also in countries that need info most google isnt available
didnt u have an opportunity to do good ;-; u had a patreon offer
sure, but we can have the good of google without it collecting all of our data
what do you think google does with your data
sell it to advertisers
yea
they dont sell ur data
lol
advertisers ask them to advertise on certain demographics and googles uses ur aggregated data to serve ads
which advertisers pay for
which fund all the free services u use
If duckduckgo was big, they would do the same thing
i dont understand the duckduckgo argument lol
you can lol
so whats the issue
theyre not forcing you to use any of their products
it negates whatever good thing google provides
How? They have to make money
oops wrong person
I want to just be able to pay google some random amount per month and have them not collect any. of my data
ofc google does sketch stuff and they're a business at the end of the day, so their goals aren't inherently "good"
it's a privacy issue
why do you have to use anything google produces
because they have a monopoly on things like youtube
but ppl deem that google adds value to their life, so they use it over competitors
dude
how do ppl close out emails
at new years
do ppl say
have a happy new years
just happy new years
idk im not saying all companies bad
just that they dont do much good
go use vimeo
if there was a better option without more negatives then other people would use that lol
The vast majority of people would prefer free to paying for no data collection
not sure where you're living but this is just capitalism lol
I really dont understand the problem people have with targeted ads
but you can have both
like I get ads for mens shampoo instead of womens...
I agree they could def add it
not sure how thats a bad thing
But google offers a ton of great services that makes peoples lives better
They are a pretty good company imo
if ads werent targeted there would be so much less value in paying for ads
none of the services would exist cause they wouldn't be able to fund them
wait why u still applying lol
idk i have ad blockers
i applied in september
oh did u recruit new grad this szn? ic
yea
uber took awhile to officially extend
they were waiting on headcount ors omething
ah makes sense
hopefully headcount is better by next year
im afraid of applying for new grad if the environment is similar
this year was just an off-year
previous years interns got their offers the last week of internship
anyone know what baker hughes is like
between FB and amazon which would you take and why
FB
FB not really close
im grinding for it rn
ready to renege amazon
i say FB b/c the niche security job i want they have and it looks better on resume
also assuming tech.internships is right there is no housing or food cost
for menlo park
yeah exactly
what website is this
oh levels
also i thought for the housing, they'd give you a stipend if you didn't want company housing
just company is better bc daily transportation
i would take fb security over amazon security
i dont have either
but same
๐ค interviewing for both of those next week
all i did was leetcode today i have no life
bruh same
jan 3rd and 7th
fb is arguably the best tech company to intern/work for
meh everybody has their own opinion
I agree
I mean there are unicorns/recent IPOs with more pay/upside but for stable, large companies
whats better than fb?
pay is top tier and they seem to promote relatively quick
Rentech ๐
finance not tech
I mean algorithmic trading companies is tech, it's not like working at jp morgan
obv quant shops pay a lot more
There are dozens of great tech companies out there
What people prefer depends on their own goals
of course, hence arguably
in a general case i think google is still better
How can I prepare for Amazon oa3?
you canโt
you could read their LP section but honestly that stuff is more important for final i think
Brush up on java
yea
Isn't FB highly competitive during internship? @limber hazel
had some general debugging questions, they are not really hard tho
just know every decision has to be made with 'customer obsession'
my current manager of my part time internship just asked me to take a semester off to work for them, how do i respectfully decline?
Sorry Iโve committed to my studies
AP credits OP
I could if I did like 16 per semester tbh
Damn not doing well on ap exams does come back to bite you
yeah I didn't realize what they actually did until junior year and I was like shit these are hella worth
or you donโt do a minor lolol
@thin stag did u apply for Nintendo
@kind adder whatโs the oa like for Nintendo, just wondering lmaoo
@thorny gorge OA was pretty easy. Depends on the position you're applying for (I think?). I applied to cloud tools. Mix of C# and JS/HTML/CSS
@kind adder I applied to the swe but donโt recall seeing C# as a req, I saw react, aws and Java lol
And did u get an offer?
i took 14 AP exams
then the college i went to didn't take any AP credit
and has a shit ton of classes i had to take in bio, phy, chem etc.

I'm 90% sure the facebook security interview is going to not be on trees, graphs, or dp
they arent even hinted at on the study guide
I'm really hoping since those are what I'm bad at
Why would you take an AP class without the test though? Unless you have financial reasons not to (they're expensive as hell, screw College Board)
My school was super competitive so everyone made all their classes AP to max their GPA
Ur schools didn't pay for the AP tests?
my school paid for all tests too
My school paid partially
at my school there was no weighted gpa
Oof lol
Oh damn
we also started with AP exams in eighth grade
wtf
Yeah rank was based off of weighted GPA
Bruh
Usually everyone takes AP human geography in 9th
i remember spending all weekend cramming calculus and history starting 8th grade
and then every year after that studying all the time
APHUG was the only freshman AP at our school
and then not getting in to my top college
Wtf
I'm guessing you live/attended HS in a more well-off area? Cause that does not sound like standard NA education to me.
I got a 5 but had to retake it in college b/c they dont take AP credit
well i first went to school near me
then i finished the math and physics there
so for 11th and 12th grade i would go on the bus for an hour and a half to a school in a richer area
Big oof
You probably wouldn't say that if they actually counted towards your college credits lol
yeah i was planning on at least chipping off math reqs
I got some, but I think the way that they considered my AP credits were funky. Some applied towards actual requirements and some were just credits. Not excited to take physics again
i used to like math
then CS happened and I realized math careers aint as interesting
yeah i hate that you have to pay to take classes that you know you won't use
i forgot everything from freshman year except dfs on trees and basic data structures
Yeah engineering and CS is dope. Lots of changes happening and landing a job basically sets you up financially.
Breadth classes are a pretty bad time use yeah, at least some of them are interesting I guess
my gpa is at a 2.9 b/c physics
Ouch
and the only CS class i could take was intro and then data structures
this upcoming semester will be the first time i can take CS classes i want
im so excited
Interesting. I'm stuck with taking intro courses for now, not sure how long until it opens up.
You're a freshman right?
im a soph
I see.
2021 will be much better
Physics ruined my GPA as well
Any semester with physics means it is gonna be a bad semester for me
i was thinking of getting a masters or phd but imma have to pull it up
if i can get a good internship grad school seems pointless
same
i really hate lc
i want fb so bad ๐ค ๐ค with return offer
after i graduate i will never interview again other than for security
swe is such bs
APs are hella worth it if you go to public
took 13/creds per semester and can graduate a year early bc of them
hey guys, so i applied to paypal for SWE, but they wanted to interview for a data quality/data analyst intern role. anyone know paypal's interview process and how long it is? my first interview is a 30 min technical interview, so was wondeirng how much more of the process there is for paypal
also would love some tips/advice!
I never realized how important ap classes can be
tbh ap credits arent that important
its just they are a cheat codes for alot gen eds
yeah i did a lot of APs and i have almost a whole year outta way
comes in handy if u wanna take a gap year
or graduate early
or do 4 years but easier schedule

yeah frfr. im doing the four years easier schedule my senior year so i can get a little buffer to do new grad recruiting and hopefully another internship before i go full time
I think dual credit classes in HS are better than AP if your HS offered them, thereโs no AP test you have to take at the end in order to get the credit, all you have to do is pay for the course and you donโt have to worry about colleges accepting the course either since itโs a college course youโre taking in HS, I got like almost 2 years ahead in college because of dual credit had I stuck with my bio chem major before I switched to CS
But it costs a lot more than an ap exam
AP exam is like pay ~$90 for potentially ~$4000 worth of credits depending on where you go and which AP
True
AP Lang and AP Lit were the best AP classes imo
That is true but itโs def not as much as a college course and you donโt have to worry about an AP exam, I think itโs worth it
An ap exam costs more than a college course? @unborn coral
I need to see this college
Dual credit courses in my HS were done through the local community college, so all you had to pay for is tuition, which is like $55 per credit hour.
Damn thatโs a good system
So really cheap, and from what my classmates said it was easier too.
Our dual credit classes were pricy
I only did AP, I passed all but one of my tests, so I don't regret it at all. In the end I got like 30 credit hours.
very nice
Ap lit reinvigorated my love for reading
No lol dual credit courses
God I hated English
Yeah but my high school had the college professors come to our school to teach the courses making it very convenient for the students taking them
English was fun I think it depends on the teacher really, they can make the class very interesting or hella boring
i was normally bored out of my mind in hs english classes but my ap lang teacher was legendary
also because i prefer non-fiction to fiction
My favorite high school teacher was my APUSH teacher.
but the ap classes i'm most glad i took were calc ab/bc because calc 1 and 2 at my uni is apparently hell
have a few friends that had to retake those courses
I had to retake Calc I.
When I took AP physics in high school I couldn't transfer it to my school cus it was algebra based not calculus based ๐ฆ
when i took all the AP physics exams available I also had to still take 3 physics classes

nah just they should really expand their question bank. it would be way too easy for someone to pre-practice all of their questions (at least for intern) just by asking people who interviewed there before
Already searched the server and no one has mentioned them. They just went out that first round invitation
I also got it
ap are stupid. Just take classes at community college or university.
if you take at college, u just need an C- to transfer compared to getting a 4 or 5 on the exam
Doesn't that affect your GPA though
Not all colleges will accept transfer credits like that
the bar for a 4 is not too high on most AP exams tbh
I remember self studying for the AP enviro exam and getting a 5, that exam was such a meme lol
isn't the exam scores a binomial distribution
maybe ur just an environmental goddess
I mean at some places its more expensive to do dual enrollment
yeah but you can grad early most of the time so it saves you tuition money in the future
yea i did dual enrollment for calc 3 but im just saying its probably better to ap in most cases lol
no I just read some smartypants book and it had everything I needed for the exam iirc
also I'm a dude
question
do yall wish ur recruiters happy holidays?
(the recruiter for the offer you accepted)
I don't but if I were a recruiter I would be happy to receive a message.
Is that a thing?
If weโre connected on LinkedIn I might wish them a happy bday if anything really
yeah i sent them a christmas gift too
yall dont tip your recruiters 5 dollars per email reply?
Naw I send 50% of my intern salary to them
yes even though i dont have an offer from them yet lol
Forgot to tip my landlord this month
the jin picture threw us all off lets be honest
dang hmmm i probably wont then
im sure it wouldnt be a bad thing to wish ur recruiter happy holidays but i doubt any other interns would
@abstract wagon bruh istg everything u say is so negative lmao
Chill
Have a beer or something Jesus
I mean heโs not wrong lol
True but they will def screw you over too
why?
Why? Because their loyalty isnโt to you. Their loyalty is to the company of course
@abstract wagon
@feral shoal maybe the better word is would and not will
Lmaoo fair fair
Yes thx for the clarification. I didnโt mean all the time but they can
what's with the villainization of recruiters
they're humans too lol
if you feel like telling them happy holidays, just do it.
as long as you're not doing it to kiss their ass
oh I was just saying generally, not necessarily responding to you directly, my b
What possible incentive would recruiters have for actually wanting to screw you over?
I think in terms of incentives because thatโs how people function
I have liked most of my recruiters, but there were some that were bad at their job and it ended up screwing me in the end.
if they realize the candidate is subpar and their time is better spent cultivating more promising candidates. But I doubt this happens in practice.
Thatโs fine. Ignorance and ineptitude always tend to be the reasons for anecdotal bad experiences rather than malice
Recruiters see buzzwords on resume, might do a phone screen, and pass you onto the tech managers/employees who make the final informed assessment. It doesnt seem like they have any more than 10% of the influence in final decision
But yeah if iโm recruiting stanford kid A and no name school kid B then iโll prob be rooting more for A and interview them sooner, etc
Most times when people have bad experiences with recruiters it isnโt regarding final decision. It is regarding the process because they are supposed to be a guide through the process.
I wonder how many companies have inept HR/recruiting deptโs but legit swe/tech teams. I feel that number is larger than people would think
Iโll give a personal example. I was going through the process with a company and I passed the OA. I was then moved on to scheduling, in order to schedule my interview. I scheduled my interview, but then I had an unexpected family emergency. So, I reached out to my recruiter to ask about rescheduling. I specifically asked about headcount and would I be ok to push my interview a few days later. She said they have plenty of headcount and I can reschedule. Fast forward, I am logged on to zoom waiting for my interviewer. Five minutes pass, 10 minutes pass, etc. I email my recruiter to see if she can locate my interviewer, and she said my interview has been canceled. They filled their intern class. She then said she sent an email to tell me, but she did not. Then, I get a generic email from the company an hour later saying the intern class was filled.
100% the recruiter goofed up, that sucks so much
It is probably quite a lot of companies. Companies can afford to have high false negative rates as long as true positives keep the hiring funnel filled
Oscar?
Yep lol. And I really wanted that pay day too but on to the next
anyone got with apple? pls dm me!!
if I passed on tests in amazon oa1 7/7 and oa2 2/2, what is the chances of getting an offer?
looking for US
Does everyone get Visa oa?
Obviously a good chance, but I don't think anyone here has concrete insights into how Amazon scores its candidates
twitch
@eternal torrent wouldnt passing/doing well in OA's give you a interview, not an offer? (im unfamiliar with amazon process)
You still have to do the final interview
does facebook ask leetcode hard for intern interviews?
yes
Easy hards or hard hards?
I had a recruiter reach out about opportunities, ghost, then reach out again 3 months later, and then ghost again
why did disney reach out to set up my computer today of all days
the warranty on them expires at the end of the year
for final or phone or both? @humble saddle
Depends on interviewer
does facebook ask questions that aren't on their list?
i mean frequently or is the list spot on
sup yall, so amazon wants a pic of myself and my student ID for the OA but im a dumbfuck and forgot my student ID at uni when i moved back home, has anybody been able to send a pic of their state ID and not get cucked by the recruiters ๐ญ
yea likely just gonna do that
ive survived this far without my student ID and it had to be amazon to fuck me for it
They just want to make sure youโre the person taking the test, you donโt need to worry lol.
u know that for a fact dawg?
im jk, yea thats my thought rn but just wanted to see if anybody else was in my position to make sure
i had 1 question on that list and 3 that weren't in my two interviews
I used my city id, it doesnโt matter what you use tbh
sick, thanks
"Sorry, we at Amazon are looking for responsible people who always keep required identification on hand"
Internship offer from tech company in 2021 hopefully
pog
Haha
dudes be trynna get an internship at C1. like bro, first you should SEE if you can get ONE girl to text you back
Lol I still did be happy with C1
Just shoot for the moon and land at the stars if I miss
Do we have to use a camera for oa3?
I dont remember it asking for photo on third
But in any of the OAs you just take a selfie with your ID but it isnt a live video during the assessment
Yea
Has anyone done the pocket gems final yet? Pls dm me ๐.

over a month for me
Would I still be able to get the oa if I apply for summer 2022?
Is it hard to get a summer 2021 internship as a May 2021 grad? I accepted a full time offer that starts in mid august and I was hoping to get something for the summer
I see a lot of postings have the requirement that you must graduate after December 2021
got it after a day
any particular tips when preparing for Amazon LP qs?
I have applied to a lot of places and it has been like around 2-3 months for some of the places, can I still expect to get a response in Jan for them or have they ghosted and should I assume a rejection
you mean as you're answering literally say "the situation was [...]" etc etc?
damn okay
gl
Thanks for the tips guys โค๏ธ
Anyone who interviewed at AMZ and got an offer despite not fully the question/solving optimally? Or needed hints/etc?
how did you guys get OA for amazon
heard lot of you guys talking
just online application
or did you guys go some other route
For my amazon interview, I started with a brute force approach but I told my interviewer that it was just a starting point and that I knew it wouldn't be the most optimized yet. Then we walked through some test cases together and I came up with a more efficient, but slightly convoluted solution. He asked me a few questions about some parts of my code and when I took a closer look at what I wrote, I was able to simplify it down to the desired solution. Afterwards, we had a good conversation, talking about his experience at Amazon. I got the offer 2 days later.
So while I didn't really get direct hints, I still worked through the problem together with my interviewer. Personally, I don't think interview coding challenges are all about just writing the most optimized solution immediately. For internships, I feel like it's more about showing you are teachable and easy to work with.
**(although this will probably vary between companies/interviewers)
Applied online 9/17, got OA 1 on 10/8
Internship right?
Yep!
4th year, currently taking a gap year, graduating June 2022
alright i see
oh so like 2 days ago
how long on average companies take to reach back
no like in general
if I apply at a place
yeah i guess it is hard to put a number
i have to applied to like 50ish rn and havent heard anything postive
2-3 rejection and nothing else
so i was wondering how many have ghosted me or just havent seen mine
50 is a small number for university ppl ik
hmm like my earliest go back to I believe start of november?
yea I did a few times, it was fine acc to them
do u wanna check it out
yeah i am gonna keep applying
oh yea yeah np lol
i just keep on sending my resume to people if they give a slight hint lol
i am just looking for continious validation
lol
yeah
I got one just a week ago
nice
Idek how
OA?
Yea
@steep bough what year are you?
I had no prior experience just projects
I am a soph in uni, but i am technically a junior(creditwise) so it is complicated
I applied as sophomore
i prefer to tell my expected graudation date
since the title creates confusion
and there are sometimes specific req like the person should be soph or junior so i keep on changing my color lol
Does Amazon send Ls over weekend?
Like after oa
I have been checking my email like crazy lol
do you guys know about places which send an OA after u apply
like as soon as u apply
Yea though most companies are already done hiring
Like Goldman
Bofa
JP Morgan
Vanguard
Cisco
IBM (but like a few days)
Roblox
@lethal berry you can update your resume for Amazon with the most recent one on Amazon University
Pretty stupid question: How would I get paid for my summer internship if Iโm an F-1 student and donโt have a US bank account? Can I get paid through the bank account I have in my home country, or my fiancรฉโs bank account in the US?
I am pretty sure you can give them any bank account details
Alsthough if you are an international student in USA you might as well get an account in some bank
my interviewer gave me no indication of anything lmfao he was kinda just there
so it varies heavily on the interviewer
how is amazon oa 3?
Hey everyone if I have scored 3.5 questions on Codesignal, does my score exceed 825 ? I have a total score of 1120 right now so I don't know
depends on which questions
i don't have the distribution in front of me
but I'm guessing yes? 1, 2, 4 are weighted the most i think
man i applied a while ago but i havent heard back
lol i just applied
pog
i think 30% of SWEs are asian men
oh shit
lolol
APP is for sophomores and juniors
recruiter scheduled an interview monday after wildcard weekend

Hi all, my final interview link for amazon is supposed to expire tomm (sunday) but it expired today, will I be fine if i just mssg the recruiter?? they said they'd withdraw the app if I didn't respond but I did send an email to the recruiter about this issue today
Because people are cringe
exam grades ๐
linkedin is so cringe, people will brag about anything just to stroke their fragile egos
thats it?
Deleting that app soon
LinkedIn is just funny to look through
"im excited to announce that (girl name) has given me an offer to be her boyfriend. i'd like to thank (girl name) for this opportunity to let me learn, grow and improve as a boyfriend."
lol people going to weekend events and putting that as work exp
Ewww
its ok i laugh at myself
๐๐
i heard from somewhere that if the interviewer points out bugs, or has to give u hints in a phone interview that means rejection. is that necessarily true?
yes
also breathing loudly means rejection
try to only speak clear english without any stutters
If they donโt ask you on a date itโs a big red flag and you should give up
no but seriously don't overthink it
ive been corrected in every interview ive had a few resulted in offers, a lot didnt
im just asking to be safe cuz i saw someone made a comment abt it, and it got me worried a bit
for big N they just want you to come up with a performant solution and explain it well
alright
She proceeds to leave a bad review for your skills on your page after the breakup
"0/5. pakistankinational was a horrible boyfriend. he didn't wanna spend time with me because he was too busy 'LCing to minmax TC' whatever that means. i think he was cheating on me because he moans the name 'jane street' during sex"
I am excited to announce after looking in the most voted section of discussion for each Leetcode problem I was able to gain inspiration to solve each problem and regurgitate the solution during an interview
ive gotten a hint for pretty much all my phone interviews 2/3 led to offers so far and passed one recently where the interviewer basically gave me the algorithm
this again depends on the interviewer tbh cuz some of them have an ego and reject you if you need a hint
Yeah I will say that in the 2 where I've gotten hints and led to offer the interviewer was the same race as me and the one that rejected me was not but thats just anecdotal
Anecdotally Iโve had the most success with Chinese interviewers lol
^ im also asian
Iโm Indian so they probably donโt see me as same as them but still interesting
lol i fail most where my interviewer is indian (and I'm Indian)
race bias is more apparent than people think
racial*
especially intra-race
i find age to be a bigger factor
these young interviewers be asking some lc hards
literally hazing
ehhh when I get lc hard its from someone higher up
it's all their emotional baggage
honestly i get it u bet im asking some lc hards when im on the other side ahahaha
fucking this
bro why do companies ask lc hards for internships
they have fucking ridiculously high standards
they also pay ridiculous salaries tho
the worst thing is to get asked hards when other candidates get asked easies and mediums
which companies have u gotten LC hards from?
Some companies with low pay still ask lc hards
i think the only company that's given me a question that could be considered LC hard is Nuro
Like Citrix
I got leetcode easies for internship interview bless (non tech company doe)
I donโt think non tech companies ask lc hards
where at ๐
okay thats what i expected. nuro also pays 9k a month tho
then the next was find common elemets between 2 elements. did it n^2 and the dude was happy with it
The only company that ever asked me a lc hard in an interview was google
And it was for step lmao
LMAO
actually i guess i've gotten LC hard in OA for a few companies but never in a phone interview
Ive always gotten LeetCode Hard on OAs
Ye
OAs are just cancer
do you mind saying what the question was?
dude roblox pays mad comp
yea i learned that recently LOL
56/hr for interns and like 220k for new grads
now im doing leetcodes everyady for next year
holy moly
lmao 2 sig?
i want to die
roblox OA difficulty is rng
i did two sigma freshman OA and it was 2 easy 1 medium
its like 3 leetcodes too in 90 mins i think?
it was divide chocolate
ye this the guniea pig year
when u dont have premium so u cant access the question ๐ฆ
i havent even taken discrete or number theory so i am a baby when it comes to a lot of math questions
tfw you forgot to cancel your lc premium sub and have no interviews coming up ๐
tfw u bought it for the year and only used it for a month
bro im already rejected. maybe next yr lol
r u guys juniors?
freshman
holyyy good shit getting dis early. i didnt do shit till this year and im a junior
Same @pliant hawk lol started the internship grind way too late
i went to community college and finally transferred this year. all this shit hit me like a truck

Damn. I took my first programming class in the 11th grade, hated it, so vowed to never do a cs related major
Took my first uni mandatory programming course, loved it, so decided to come to comp eng from biomed Eng
ngl i hated ap cs in hs
Yeah ugh
Stupid teacher
Heavy heavy accent who didn't teach stuff from scratch
So I was at an obvious disadvantage since all the other kids took cs classes before the 11th grade
jesus we didnt have cs till my senior year of hs
Damnnn
Kinda wish I knew I liked this field early on so id have had more time to begin the internship grind :(
