uh multiple reasons but mainly there just wasn't any benefit to me being in it. i had freshmans messaging me essentially asking me to do their lab projects and homework for them. no one applied for internships. no one asked for resume help or anything. so i just pasted a bunch of sources and stuff for them to refer to and i went ahead and left all of the club group chats and discord servers.
i helped two people (my roommate and my cybersecurity friend) get into the recruiting season though and my roommate got an offer to Cerner and my friend to IBM for Red Team Security. So it is definitely fulfilling to see some people really succeed form helping them but also the people at my school just don't care enough. they only would do recruiting if they could just show up to an interview at google, reverse an array, and get an offer. just really disappointing tbh. no ambition at my school

I think fb is trying to actively hire for enterprise engineering internship this year. Seems like they're only hiring one, and it's the team's first time hiring interns. But the role is pretty much swe that makes fb's internal tools.
I think applications for the role are still open. Hiring just one intern may sound like a high bar, but if a recruiter from fb was desperate enough to contact me (a stupid sophomore who didnt pass resume screen for swe internship) to offer an interview, my guess is that not many ppl are applying your chances for response rate is pretty decent
