CTF is good for pentesting, and entry level pentesting jobs seems like impossible. we need atleast 3+ years experience to land anywhere near to pentesting. Looks like SOC is the only option for entry in security

so the only way is to work for the NSA or other gov stuff and then go to google/aws/microsoft

like for example, I interviewed with XR trading as a new grad and used a C++17 solution (I didn't really know about any of this stuff at the time). They asked me if I knew how to do it in C++11 and I did not, didn't move on to next round.
