If you want a tl;dr: the team went to the city of flowers on Omega Earth, and detonated a spike there, depriving the Nexus of its energy source. This then became the next map, Lotus
After that the story pivoted back to Alpha Earth, Kingdom had been working on a new project called 'Project Landfall'
It had to do with the cute little creatures called 'Radivores'
Gekko, the next Agent, is essentially a pokemon trainer who busted 4 of them out of a Kingdom facility and now is bffs with them
Deadlock is the Agent that came after him, she was part of a team that Kingdom contracted to securely transport another radivore. Her mission went badly, it ended up killing her entire team and biting off her arm before she managed to kill it. As such, she was deeply traumatized and became very distrustful of radivores
Once she got hired, she insisted that VALORANT stop the project because Kingdom was up to some really shady shit, so VALORANT went and blew up their entire facility
This became the next map, Sunset

Iso was an assassin who worked for a shady organization, the Scions of Hourglass, that had beef with Omen and Kingdom
He killed a bunch of the chief personnel working on Project landfall, then Hourglass tasked him with infiltrating VALORANT and killing Omen too
He got into VALORANT, then learned the power of friendship and went "Ok nvm I like you now lets go kick hourglass's ass"
And they went and kicked hourglasses ass

And that's a super rushed version of everything from Lotus to now

so what was the purpose of that trap the hourglass boss had in his office and that he used with omen. looks like it wasn't just to kill but to do something else

like clearly it prevented him from teleporting out, but it was also causing him immense pain
