Huh! Thats very interesting and definitely very different from here Here it’s just all 3 but yeah most of it is hair, and only touches on nails and skincare for a couple weeks each, (well depends on the state too how long you do the others for) the rest of the time (8-11 months) is basically all only hair. So if you want to get good at doing nails or skincare, you would either have to practice a lot on your own, or go into one of those as a specialization
Barbering is also a separate education here, as a cosmetologist you can do all hair including men’s hair but there is less focus on it, and also some tools like straight razors can only be used by barbers. So some cosmetologists end up going to barber school after cosmetology so that they can have both their cosmetology license for general hair dressing, and also their barber license for specialized education on men’s cuts
