#account management in CoPass

@sweet viper
after being forced to enter my card details to sign up (which is understandable if you want to vet for purchasing intent), i found it quite stressful that CoPass does not offer any way to:
- add/edit/remove my payment methods.
- manage my subscription (even if it's $0 now, it could change, and stripe doesn't automatically unsubscribe customers when that happens). users should be able to cancel whenever they want, without having to reach out or jump through other complicated hoops. stripe offers businesses the ability to set up a dashboard so their users can self-manage their subscriptions.
- delete my account (and have all my data deleted when/if i do that)
i'm pretty sure that not giving users an option to delete their account is illegal in most jurisdictions, and i'm honestly surprised a product by a leading figure in the design community does not offer these basic account management features.
i doubt there is any unethical or misaligned intent from you or the team on this, and still support the company and your work. but, i hope this oversight can be resolved soon. it really feels very uncomfortable as a user to have so little control over my payments and account in CoPass.
thank you for reading.
@light robin thanks for taking your time to share! I think there should be an option to delete your account and I’m passing this onto my team now to resolve it
thank you for your response, Grace! i'll be looking forward to the update ❤️
You should be able to edit and delete your account now!
hi there, i don't see any options to edit or delete my acount. maybe the update hasn't shipped yet?
update, its more complex than we thought and our dev team is on it now, will keep updated
thanks for bringing this up
got it, thank you for letting me know. will be looking forward to the next update.
@light robin it should be here now, do you want to test? (no going back if you delete account). also your credit card is with stripe so we dont see any info, and i told my team to remove that as a requirement since its a free product so they should have removed it
