Just finished my resume for this year.

It’s not the typical corporate style one (though I have that version too). This one is more experimental, curious what y’all think.

It’s basically the same as last year’s resume, just updated and enhanced with new skills/stats.

Question:

  1. Should I keep using the same template and just update it every year?
  2. Or would it be better to build a new one from scratch each time?

(also do check the resume out in my Behance too if you liked how it is, pls help with engagement <3)

Hey Rahul, here are my thoughts on your question:

First of all, I really like experimental resumes — especially in the creative field you’re in. I don’t think it’s necessary to completely redesign it every year, especially not from scratch.

What you could do is try out different layouts or color schemes now and then, just to keep it fresh. And if at some point it really feels outdated or no longer represents you, then it might be a good moment to build a new one from the ground up.

Hope that helps — good luck with it!

One of my comments will be is that the software icons are a bit too large and also if you could make the experience one whole column. I will also suggest that you increase your grid gutter space since the gap is quite small
