I see. I've only successfully pivoted to production design from graphic design and front end development which isn't really that different i guess. I went back to graphic design because it felt like UX always needed 'more work' ... nothing was ever good enough, which was fine but no one could ever tell me what was wrong. In graphic design people were willing to let me make mistakes and learn based on skills I had.

While I haven’t seen anything from you, I would say I had the opposite experience as you, with graphic I hate it that most people give me feedback based on how they “feel”, like “I don’t like how this looks, it looks too boring” but I don’t know what they mean by it. With UX there’s a clear goal and clear measurable result, if you can get that you know you did it right
