I am a developer, not a designer, and I suck at design. I am trying to start getting some jobs on the side of my job, so this will be my presentation for getting customers to build them websites. I am open to any and all feedback. So far I've only done part of the home page, but I thought I would ask for feedback before continuing, thanks!

Happy for ya! But yeah the design definitely needs work. Keep a consistent margin.

#

learn about spacing basics.

#

that'll definitely level up your design.

#

not feeling the type combos either

#

harsh shadows. no padding. both are a no go

#

content shouldnt be touching boundaries like it does here

#

the white border is too intense here. and the paddings within the cards need work too.

#

id suggest learning basic design principles if you really wanna up your design game.

#

colors, type, spacing for starters

Hey, thanks for your time. I really appreciate it. I read about spacing, found the 4 point grid system and implemented that, so it should be better now. Also removed the Shadows and colors from the menu on hover. I don't know what you mean with the type combos, what exactly is that? I searched web design types but other things came up. If you can, lt me know if it's better now, this helps me a lot to learn, thanks!

yea the 4pt grid definitely improved alignments. spacings still need some work.

#

id start by increasing the margins to like 72

#

dont use 2 type faces. just use one. keep it simple. something clean. like Geist, or Onest, or Inter if you really wanna play it safe.

#

increase the paddings here too. so the contents not too tight.

the icons arent consistent either. find a good iconset. consistency is key

#

or just use figma AI to design a page lmoa

The animation with the elements spinning into place gives off 2007 PowerPoint vibes. I’d def recommend something closer to a slide up from 0 opacity

@granite wave Avoid #000000 color especially for backgrounds. Sometimes is good to use a little gray-white for text aswell (depends on the contrast with the background)

so is refactoring UI

#

I don't think the animation fits well with the site design. I think it's hard to find an illustration style that fits with any given web design style, but this one looks especially off

Thanks, I'll check out that course. So you think remove all animations?
