It kind of depends on what the recipient likes. Iām fond of Japanese green full leaf tea varieties like sencha and gyokuro.
I also like a nice light black tea like the Darjeeling varieties.
Hojicha is great in the evening as a little pick-me-up
I once got some matcha from there as a gift for someone who likes to make lattes with it
The nice thing about Arbor is that their packaging is backyard compostable, and they provide steeping instructions for their teas
Even great tea can be gross if you prepare it the wrong way
Ohh I see. Well she's not a super drinker or anything, just really likes to brew a cuppa of bagged chamomile tea while reading. I've been nudging her into trying loose tea as I know from experience it's quite nice and also she could get to try new things like japanese or chinese teas
So I started looking at their herbals knowing she'll like those for sure
But I'm really interested in knowing what you'd get, maybe I can get her some of that to try something new
I saw! Superb site, thanks for the pitch up
Yeah she's patient to learning so I'm sure she'll get it down
Herbals are generally easy to prepare too. If sheās someone who doesnāt do a lot of loose leaf, a nice gift might be a steeper and a thermometer to go with the tea

Awesome possum
Thank you J, I'll look into those
And this
I got her this teapot for one set
I'm unsure if it comes with a steeper already though
Thatās cute
You donāt need a steeper with a teapot really
If you pour out slowly, you can avoid too many of the leaves getting in your cup
Or you can steep the tea in a pot and pour it through the steeper (which is just a filter) into the tea cup
The thermometer is for getting the water temperature right for your tea, but if youāre doing black tea or herbals itās almost entirely at boiling, so you wouldnāt need a thermometer
poggies
Alrightt hell yeah
thank you very much, I'll let you know what she thinks when she tries em
