#Question regarding Switch 2 Arduino Leonardo compatibility
17 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Is there any reason why youre buying a leonardo specifically? /gen
shiny hunting specifically, so that
Well yeah but im on about a leonardo over the other microcontrollers
If not id look into the esp32 s3 over a leonardo bc its easier and better n stuff
But eitherway to answer the question yes itll work on switch 2
If you already have a Leonardo, go ahead and use it. But if you don't have anything, get a Raspberry Pi Pico W.
Oh is the pi the new ‘best’ microcontroller?

Best for beginners at least. ESP32-S3 is still the best for reliability. But it's not as simple to setup as the Pico.
So the new strategy now is to push all new users to the Pico W. Then as they start using it and they stick around and start encountering problems, we'll recommend the ESP32-S3.
But we're hoping the Pico W is reliable enough to where people won't need to go wired.
Thumbs up
For US users, it's probably for the best anyway with another +100% Trump tariffs on China. Raspberry Pi is UK-based.
