I'm struggling to understand why the server selection is still latency locked. People in Asia south/north are complaining on Steam, and here on Discord, that they cannot play the game without taking extra steps (vpn, coordinating times to queue, joining crews in other regions). I highly recommend either pushing the one crew matchmaking system to all regions or removing the latency lock, or both. People want to play your game, SIG, and they're complaining that they can't. Make it easier for them, please.

Those are the regions that probably needed it the most so it doesn't make any sense to me that they didn't push the 1 crew matchmaking change to those servers. If there was a good reason why those changes weren't pushed to all server regions then they should have explained that in an announcement.

They also should not have left it up to players to figure out the matchmaking changes on their own. We had to test those changes to be sure of how they worked, and then we had to inform each other about them by word of mouth. They really should have made a small announcement or at least posted patch notes. Because they didn't inform anyone about these changes there are still lots of players on Steam and Discord that don't know that some regions have 1 crew matchmaking even though I post about these changes very frequently on both platforms. Almost every time I see a post on Steam or a comment on here about players being unable to play or about PVE only or anything else that's related to matchmaking I mention the matchmaker changes and guaranteed matchmaking that we have in some regions.

The USA east, USA west, EU central have 1 crew matchmaking in the standard mode.

A free or paid VPN can be used to get to those regions if you can't normally access them and if you can't find any crews to join on Discord or the in game friend finder message system. The VPN method has been tested by me and some other players, and at least one CM has used it. You can shut the VPN off after you select a different region in game, it only needs to be active for the selection.
