I agree! I would love to play a sort of PVE game/gamemode solo or with my friends. Even if it was completely separate from the PVP mode.

Appreciate the suggestion OP! PVE mode is one of the highly requested/suggested to be added in our game. Though PVE mode is still not planned atm, but it's not off the table. The Devs are currently focusing on finishing the game first so let's see what the future holds.

Currently, US servers and EU are the most populated. It still varies on the time of the day. I understand the long queues as it happens at point in the day.

as far as i know, superficially but still, making it possible for 1 group to enter after a certain timer has expired is not very expensive, both in time and in resources, wouldn't that be a solution? it won't cancel pvp, but it will give the opportunity to newcomers and those who can't find the game for many hours to play

Only allowing 30s isn't going to be enough time for other people to get into the matches with you and since this is NOT a PVE game (and still isn't planned to be as noted above by Hermes) the intent with the 4m20s timer is probably to give other crews a chance to queue up and get into the same match.

Maybe they could drop the maximum to 3 minutes instead of 4m20s and start regardless of the number of people in the queue at the 3 minute mark - so allow a single crew to get matches started in the standard game mode and maybe drop it to 2 players to get matches going in Raider mode from 4. Maintain the 5 minute "late join" in standard mode so that gives an 8 minute window for other crews/players to join the match.

3 minutes is still too long a wait to get into matches, people will just keep playing less and less and game will just keep bleeding more people, that said, this is pointless regardless as changing anything requires an update, something they won't do anytime soon and when they do do it hopefully the playerbase will go back up and stay up

Three minutes really isn't too long if there is a guarantee that a match will start at the 3 minute mark no matter what. Some games make players sit in the lobby or queues for 5-10 minutes to get into matches, or longer, so three is really nothing.

Changing things like this does not require a client side update. They already changed the matchmaker without pushing an update, both modes have reduced minimums and that was done server side.
