In regards to #📯︱major-announcements message
There's currently three types of news related channels on the Discord;#📯︱major-announcements which everyone is expecting to see update related info in but is instead is being used for more general announcements, #📣︱community-news which is hardly ever used (the last message there was two months ago), and #🐦︱tweets.
Instead of adding a Minor Update channel;
- Create a #game-news channel for info specifically regarding things like, to quote Ahtu, "patch notes, steam updates and dev blogs"
- Use #📯︱major-announcements for general announcements, potentially removing the need for#📣︱community-news
This not only removes the more useless channel in the server but also comes with the added benefit of less frustration when a player wants news specifically about updates but is instead met with another heads up about impersonators on Twitch for example.
