The standard price for the game was always 30 bucks. When you just payed 24 bucks you bought the game while it was on a discount.

Considering that it's a server based game, and we all know that keeping servers online costs money, asking about 30 USD for this game is a very fair price. Remember - the game has no microtransactions, no FOMO marketing, no paid battle passes, no subscription fees.
As WARPORK said since Early Access started the game's base price has been appx. 30 USD but it has gone on sale a few times. Discounts of 10%, 20%, 25%, and 33% have happened, at 33% off the price dropped to slightly over 20 USD. As with most Steam games if you don't want to pay full price or simply think they're too expensive at full price then just wait for a sale.
