Decent idea though I gotta say this belongs imo in the same drawer as the aliens and robots suggestions which are deemed too sci-fi for Marauders.

I think this could work best if it works the same way it does in CS:GO. You get like 15 or 16 armor value but you get slowed down by around 20% so you can't outrun opponents. With this change I also think you should be able to breach locations like normal.

#

It also shouldn't require fuel like nuclear material: maybe motor oil or normal fuel at best

#

also here are some appearance suggestions

#

I really like the 2 last images cause I like the idea of a tall collar protecting the lower half of your head

#

but possibly obscuring vision (maybe)

Among the worst ideas offered in this "discussion board". We can chalk this one up as a pile of shit and flush it right now. Imagine being a starter to the game and the introduction is being thrown into a lobby with 4 gentlewomen wearing power armor and killing you with the most overpowered guns in the game. We can call the power armor "InstaRefund".

ah yes, I remember people love to be handheld and eased into games nowadays, why not a long tutorial shooting bunnies under a teletubbies sun maybe? (irony)

also this discord is definitely not a place where most players enjoy realism and difficulty over "feeling like a hero and being brought cookies and milk". (irony)

nobody turns on marauder thinking they'll be insta-awesome at it. (not irony)

Armors would be fine if balanced.

also, I swear with this type of games the k/d obsessed players come in and shut every new idea down brutally because they just want to click on the other player and win and that's their end-game

you make it sound like the idea threatens a perfect, succesful recipe, but the playerbase was last above 1000 3 months ago, "insta-refund" is defacto happening already

"This oh so aesthetic armor was used by U.S. troops in the World War I. This armor was made of a mix of chrome, nickel, and steel. It consisted of a breastplate and helmet. It gave a good resistance to the British .303 rounds from about 2,700 feet away.
Although it gave a solid defense, the weight of the armor definitely was its downfall. It was 40 lbs, which as you can imagine, would be quite cumbersome as it would weigh down soldiers who were already carrying other items and gear."

  1. "This “lobster armor” was one of the types of armor worn by the Germans of World War 1. The vest could handle pistol rounds, but unfortunately did not hold up well to rifle rounds. The armor was useful against bayonets and blades, providing defense from rocks and debris from explosions which could give a tactical advantage. However this advantage would quickly be lost in a battle that lasted a while. The weight of the lobster armor is about 16 lbs (approximate weight i found from a replica, but some sources said upwards of 22–25 lbs) which with poor ventilation of the vest, would fatigue the soldiers fairly quickly."
