Game consistently crashses on startup during intro

I am unable to move past this part of the game process at all despite following many instructions from many sources.

I've had the same issue and so far it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot going on about it rn.

Sometimes the whole startup movie plays and then crashes before I ever see a main menu, but most consistently it crashes early into the startup movie. Having -nostartupmovies on just causes the crash to happen instantly.

Yeah. I have nostartupmovies and it just crashes on the black screen. No matter what I do it doesn't fix the issue.

I've been emailing customer support, and trying their solutions to no avail so far. A guy on reddit claimed to have a solution but it involved poking around in system 32 and I wasnt too comfortable with that.

Game still crashes exactly the same, contacted support many more times and performed clean boot and all to no avail. I can run Tarkov and a variety of other games just fine so its not my pc/specs. Extremely frustrating.

Can you please find Command Prompt using your Windows search bar, right-click on it and select 'Run as Administrator'
Then type in the command below and enter:

• net stop winmgmt

Leave the command prompt open and using your Windows search bar go to the following location:

• C:\Windows\System32

In this location, please find the folder titled 'wbem' and open it and then locate the folder titled 'Repository' > right-click on this folder and click rename. Change the folder name from 'Repository' to 'Repository.old'.

Then switch back to your Command Prompt window and type:

• net stop winmgmt

Then press Enter to execute.

Once this process has finished, please reboot your PC and retest the game.

hopefully noone has to go through this in the future if we can find out exactly whats causing it

I can actually get into the game now, everything's so much different
