when u buy a ship and u die in raid u should not lose your ship because if you do their is no incentive to buying a ship. the only way we should lose them is if we die in the ship and someone extracts with the ship period.

Ships work like gear - if you leave it behind or die it's gone unless a team mate can bring it out for you. We're pirates, no one is going in there to bring your ship out for you.

There are benefits to bringing a better ship such as speed, better weapons, more health, more maneuverability, and storage space. The drawback is that you could lose it just like bringing in your level 12 armour and level 13 helmet along with your best gun has a benefit but you risk losing them.

It is also very easy to replace low tier ships. One of the Scouts can be built for just 6 common resources and the other low tier ships aren't that expensive to craft. They're also pretty cheap in the hangar shop and once you learn where some of the high value loot is you can earn enough in a single match to buy at least one or two low tier ships.

You can also steal ships from the AI - sometimes you'll encounter scouts, interceptors, or the Red Baron flying the strike frigate. The scout and interceptor AI ships are not that hard to take - kill the AI, fly the ship out of the match.

I good solution would be to have NPCs as crew in your ships that will stay inside when you enter the POI and when there is 5 mins remaining it will undock and go to the gate.

That way other players still have a chance to intercept it, kill the crew and steal it.
