bad idea, if you want people to bring in diff ships then it would be better to make them more accessible, say make AI enemy ships more frequent and then people will steal those more often and could use them more, if you run out of money and then have to wait for the rust bucket cool down, that would suck and no one would like that

not to mention if people want to do say merchant ship or the damaged capital ship or such then they have to abandon their ship, so those people will normally never use anything above a rust bucket so they can just ditch it whenever needed

#

for those cases, if you want people to take in bigger ships then you'd have to give them a better way to guard their ship while their gone other than hide it behind a rock

I'm not waiting 10-20 minutes to play 1 game just because I went in with a Luger and got 1 tapped by an MG42

This just seems like a mechanic for driving away new blood from this game's player pool. If you're one of those people who wants to empty out a game's population for some reason then this is the right way to go.

make it 20 then

# silent verge make it 20 then

And if you're poor and can't afford a ship, or don't have the materials to make a ship you're screwed! You get maybe 2-3 raids an hour, fun!

I get what you're tryna say. You want reasons to have to use other ships, but I don't think this is the way to do it. Closest way I can think of is if you have to buy a ship, but make it dog shit. Like $1,000-$5,000 and all it is is an escape pod with no weapons. But I doubt that would even work
