#Move Vault In Navy Base to the Kill House

The kill house is such a cool area of Navy Base that could have some awesome fights but nobody goes there.

Why? Because there’s no reason to go through the maze when it doesn’t really connect to anything important. It’s at the edge of the map.

Solution? Move the vault to the back wall of the kill house. The vault is a great gameplay device to lure players into a deeper or more dangerous part of the map (Think: drill pit or the marketplace in spaceport). The kill house could hide potential enemies in the various obstacles and plywood walls, plus the upper areas on the side could house opposing snipers.

The current location isn’t bad but it also feels like an afterthought location. The high command is a great central location with good loot and then right next to it is the vault in one of the random wings. Just feels like everything is too centralized.

One could argue that the current spot is good because it’s in the middle and therefore more dangerous areas. Plus there are catwalks above that people could use to ambush vault robbers.

My counter argument would be that gameplay-wise, that place is already going to be luring people because of high command and all the large containers on the ground nearby. However, if you have the vault on the opposite side of the high command, it counter-balances its weight. People might choose to avoid high command and sneak to the vault. It would increase the foot traffic of players going to and from the kill house and high command

In conclusion, Moving the vault on Navy to the unused masterpiece that is the kill house would kill two birds with one stone.

  1. The vault gets moved to a spot more fitting for its status and purpose.
  2. A really cool set piece will finally get some action.

the major reason why is there is .... that in this way is more or less fair for most of the spawn points.

all the vaults so far are in the middle of the maps for that reason

they could put something there im okey but not a vault

but i agree that the current vault and depot spots are the only real viable spots

Not always the middle, Penal it's on the top floor and Asteroid, it's tucked away in the basement/drill pit.

I do see your point about spawn points, but in Navy for example, the War Room spawn is much more centralized than say, the cannon room spawn.

In Spaceport, if I spawn by the Meat Shop, it's a very quick jog to the vault compared to spawning by the Frigate.

The navy is an interesting map because there is just a ton of loot lying around. High Command has at least 2 rare loot spawns and the dead commandos have good stuff. The lockers in the dorms are vault level lockers, for free!

If anything, the vault is hardly ever a priority in Navy because I'm already lugging around so much loot. In other maps, players are kind of funneled to the vault because it is the best loot location (or at least most obvious).

That's why I feel taking the vault, which is a little underwhelming in the current Navy location, and placing it in a more interesting spot could A. spice things up in the Outpost and B. generate some action in a large, unused area of Navy.

# obsidian pasture What if we made a Ammo heavy area?

Maybe, if all the other ammo boxes scattered around were reduced. Like @vestal sedge said, there's just too much ammo around already. I feel like the vault is the only thing (besides maybe a stash like @waxen wren suggested, but there currently aren't any stashes on Outpost) that would be enticing enough for players to head into the kill house maze.

  1. Penal in order to get to the vault you must go to the middle of the map . The map is a big circle and everyone spawns in the outer ring on equal grounds more or less
  2. asteroid the primary entrance is the middle and it has 2 extra but even if you get down there fast. YOU CANT LEAVE FAST since the only exit is through the middle and is a choke
3.Navy is split one side is the Depot the other is the vault
  3. Space port you cant argue cuz you have only the meat you have also the other side that is close to the medical room and also close to the meat spawn that been said the top spawns on both sides of the frigate have a fast way through the market that ignores the majority of bots but despite the fact that they are further they have access to secret stashes 3 of them in fact which are "mini vaults" since they have the whole loot table.

There is some sort of balance between x locations and i do believe that is the logic

Yeah, I'd say put something armour, weapon and ammo related near the firing range/killhouse area to encourage people to go there more often. Maybe a mission requiring you to study a training manual or weapon schematic or something like that in addition to adding a tad more loot to make people want to go there. Possibly a locked arsenal/armoury that requires a lockpick and/or torch to get into?
