More people played the game, PvP was better, there was an actual skill gap and it genuinely just felt better. IDK whose idea it was to nerf it but they put 0 thought into the nerf and the fact that it actually required decent aim. It really seemed like a rage nerf after a dev got dumpstered or just couldnt aim over something that was actually needed. At the end of the day the betas where more enjoyable gunplay wise over EA. I want the game to be fun again not just some generic shooter.
#Hipfire and movement was better before the nerfs.

I cant remember what they changed, could you name specifics about the gunplay you liked in the closed beta compared to now?
ironically, you claim the nerf was an emotional response while at the same time your post feels like an emotional response 🤪
Hip fire got nerfed into the ground and there hasn't been a single dev give anyone a half decent reason to why it was nerfed so hard when they don't even fully understand whats strong in their game in the first place looking at them saying out loud the svt isnt strong and the mg42 is a skill weapon. So you tell me what I'm supposed to take from that information lmao. Most of the OG hardcore players have all stopped or have slowed down playing because of the devs being incompetent and making outright pointless changes.
Them not giving anyone a valid reason it got nerfed but can give a reason for everything else also makes it look like an anger nerf. No one. Not a single soul asked for the hipfire nerf but the only people to ever say anything neg about it was devs.
I agree that smg's are literally worthless now. I remember when klobb and uzi were king. With the terminator nerf there is literally no way a new or underequipped player can challenge a kitted stg/fal chad. (kitted mac-10 aside).
Do you think they made the nerfs to empower late game loot? That's the only logic I can make of it tbh
Smgs were just too strong to be bought from the traders many months ago. At one point, the uzi was like the best gun in the game as u mentioned lol, it made looting guns pointless. But even now though, a new player could buy the ppsh and do well, and someone who is good with an smg is still going to be able to kill a noob using all the best gear
They did give a reason though, i'll paraphrase because i'm lazy but it was basically what crabs had said.
Smgs were too strong.
the sten was the most used gun in the game.
No one was using high tier gear because you just died, and it didn't matter.
Now, don't get me wrong, I firmly enjoyed the old pvp more than the new pvp, but I obviously don't hate the new pvp. it's still quick TTK, it's still skill heavy, and ultimately... as much as i fucking hate the "healing meta" that the higher tier armor and more effective med kits created, those changes to survivability did make a friendlier, more accessible game.
The headshots balance it all out. You should almost always be aiming for the head.
That being said I do think hip firing needs a little buff. You shouldn’t have to ads to hit shots point blank
Hip fire could use a slight buff nothing too crazy tho
Shouldn’t be tarkov powerful but definitely needs to be viable is super tight corners
hipfire and movement buff pog all for
all these nerfs came about before the armor buff though weren't they? Long ammo kicks short ammo ass now and i think that damage is in a good spot but smgs could use some rebalance to make them more economical and have some sort of niche compared to the assault rifles.
unadvised, they did all of the combat tweaks at the same time.
Changed armor, changed damage, changed recoil, changed healing, changed durability loss, all at the same time.
Since then they have rebuffed hipfire recoil some.
