Kar98k Addition

I feel like having the Kar98k in the game would be a really cool addition and would add more to the variety of weapons that you can use. It fits in perfectly with all the other weapons that are available to us. Personally, I feel like I have more of a fighting chance against someone if I’m fighting long range rather than getting close and personal with something made for a short to midrange fight. If there’s any plans in the future for adding more attachments for weapons or adding scopes then this would be amazing for people who like fighting from a distance. (it’s also just a really cool gun :D )

For anyone who doesn’t know what a Kar98k is, here’s a description of it.

The Karabiner 98 kurz, often abbreviated Karabiner 98k, Kar98k or K98k and also sometimes incorrectly referred to as a K98, is a bolt-action rifle chambered for the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge. It was adopted on 21 June 1935 as the standard service rifle by the German Wehrmacht. (I got this off Google btw so if there’s anything wrong it’s not my fault! lol)

No I think sniper rifles would ruin this game, I strongly god damm oppose god damm sniper rifles. Since I don't want it to end up like tarkov.

If it were iron sights only then fine, whatever. but make it a lower tier weapon, lower than a G43 or a SVT

I would prefer the G43 rather than a K98

if we had full size bolt action rifles and gave them more damage than the semi auto rifles in the game it would basically steal the role of shotguns and or create more problems if you ask me, especially if they added scopes to stuff like the STG or k98 or SVT

If we had a Kar 98k, or other bolt action rifle that was 2 shot body shot vs panzer, but also 2 shot heads shot vs lvl 12 helmets I think tht would be a great addition to the game. So if it had a unique headshot multiplyer

OR we could have both a Gewehr 43 and a Kar98k. I don't understand what you mean about them stealing the roles of shotguns, doesn't really make sense to me. I'm happy to hear what you mean by that though and with the scopes/sights the devs could limit us. Just because there is said scope in game doesn't mean we can put them on any weapon. They could totally restrict us from stuff like that and it wouldn't bother me. I'm not expecting to be able to put a scope on every weapon I have available to me, but that's a whole different conversation because I'm just talking about a new weapon getting added. Of course, someone did say earlier that the devs had it planned to add more rifles so who knows, they may already be planning something for it but in my opinion if they were to add this gun to the game, I would make it a high tier, hard to get weapon so everyone doesn't always have one. Making it such an easy gun to get your hands on AND making it weaker than what you said just doesn't make sense to me.

Shotguns are close to mid range heavy hitters, if sniper rifles were in the game and they were a potential 1 hit kill to the body from close to long range, especially if you could quick scope then it would make shotguns fucking worthless. But even without quick scoping it would be bad on maps like terraformer or merchant ship.

I'd imagine the ADS speed would be slower than most of the guns

Or as slow as some of the bigger guns

and they could always adjust the damage of the weapon if needed.

With the maps in this game you would almost never be out of shotgun range 9/10 realistically so sniper rifles would be redundant unless you have maps like large open deserts or shit like that.

Like with buckshot a shotgun has a 40-50 meter lethality range

However flame throwers have more range still. IRL.

I mean I know of a few places where a sniper would be useful lol, and that’s assuming that the gun has scope. It can be used at any range, just more convenient for someone to use it long range.
