I feel sorry for you. With the previous bugs, atleast they effected everyone sort of, so it was a bit fair. But with this one, people with working traders just have a huge advantage lol

You can say sorry for not refunding the poor players if you have it fixed the moment you found the bugs.

or, you can just reset all players that currently have faction standing's level more than 5 😄
Only then it will be fair.

Hm. While I can understand that, it would kinda force me to prestige and I am few quests off from the Capitalship as I want to try it out before I prestige....

I’m with you on the frustration being I’ve dealt with the same thing in the past 48 hours after all my traders were lvl 5> I don’t know what a resolution for this would be but it definitely discouraged me from doing raid quests which is why I’m gonna make a suggestion on how to rework the quest system

The issue with this sort of thing in multiplayer games is that it's not normally feasible to keep a full backup of everyone's data at all times, so there's probably no way of knowing what people's trader levels were.

Add to that the fact that this is an early access title - and without sounding harsh, bugs are expected. Lost progress due to bugs isn't something that Devs are constantly going to be able to spend time to sort out individually when their main priority is going to be solving other game breaking bugs and getting the game actually finished. (For example, if they had to go person by person, asking for usernames and entering them to find the trader values, then manually updating them, that could be hours or days that a dev could otherwise be working to fix some of the root causes of equally/worse bugs)

It really sucks, but this is what early access is for: you're getting the option to buy a game before it's finished enough for a full release.

Edit: sorry, I don't want to seem like I'm discounting the possibility of you getting your trader levels restored, or to sound shitty or that the developers don't care.

I agree, but the game's probably going to go into full release within the next year or so and thus will wipe anyway.

Hey! If it makes you feel any better all my trader levels just reset today as well!

It's not the end of the world...look at it like a random difficulty/gameplay modifier: now you can't buy items that you could before. Like a partial prestige.

Don't so much focus on grinding the traders back up, just view those materials needed for what you can't buy anymore as more valuable loot items

It's also worth remembering you can still buy and scrap items to craft stuff.

@dense valve I'm sorry to hear about it, but we can't refund your levels. It IS our number one priority to fix. If it's a big issue for you, I recommend just taking a break and coming back after the next fix. I had to do that with hunt a few times I know.
