I bought the original chandalier years ago for the round glass rods that hang from it. Never done anything with them but saw this picture couple of years ago and remembered the skeleton under years of dust in storage.

#

Here's what I originally had. According to the pics, this was bought 2018. 😄

I'm not a fan of gold so painted it first metallic blue and the drybrushed brass and silver to some parts to make it more interesting.

#

For the glass I used glass meant for stained glass. Made about 160 glass strips with all the edges grinded smooth so I wouldn't file my hands with them.
After that painted high gloss varnish to try to make the edges a bit more shiny. Not a huge success but they look a bit better.

#

Last step was to glue a ring point into all of them and then put them in place. By some miracle I only managed to break 2 while trying to wrestle them into place with tiny rings.

#

Once I manage to find appropriate bulbs I'll post a pic with the chandalier in it's place and lighted up.

This is finally in place and looking pretty.

That is absolutely beautiful. I very much believe it looks far better after you had finished with it.

You should. Maybe you can find something else to rescue and breathe new life into.

I need to keep an eye out for other chandaliers and see what I can find.

Or even a lamp of some kind you could modify. You seem to have a good knack for restoration.
