#Buttons for Plastic?

Id like to put buttons on a sheet of acrylic and not have it stick out the other side. I was thinking about superglue or epoxy resin to just attach the button part on the plastic, but those wouldn’t be strong enough and/or easy to apply/aesthetically pleasing. Is there an alternative to these snap buttons? These are more-so meant for fabric instead of acrylic.

maybe heat set inserts into the acrylic and screw some screw snap buttons? idk that feels too overkill/complicated

I feel like the repeated stress of using the snaps is going to be bad for your acrylic sheet.

What are you snapping to it?

I've sometimes seem snaps setup in a similar way on fibreglass boats to hold covers and awnings on. Might be worth seeing if there's ones being sold specifically for that and if they're any different.
